Can I purchase GTL on Steam and run on windows 10 ? It does not appear in their games to purchase, though have seen it advertised by other sellers for use on Steam.

It is here Packerati.

Yes it will run on Win10, but you need to run it in compatability  mode (can't remember if it is Win7 or 8 ) & as administrator.

It will run in all compatibility modes but I think W8 is probably best.

GTL.exe and GTLConfig.exe must be set to Run as Administrator or it will forget the settings you put in, which is a bit frustrating.

I bought GTL from Steam and it runs perfectly on Win 10. I am using Admin rights and XP SP3 compatibility but as Tony says maybe Win 8 comp is the best.

After years in mothballs, I re-installed GTL a couple of days ago.  Looks every bit as sweet as I remember.  Smiley

Some problems in configuring things to my liking but finally have a full-screen display at 1920x1080 as per my GPL mods.  Only headache remaining is getting my old Logitech G25 to yield some decent FFB.  It's there but very, very weak despite all manner of fiddling.

If I can get things sorted, I'd like to take on some of my old amigos in some online duels.

Remember that you can change ffb using Windows USB controller app.

Ask Windows for USB Controller.

Hi Doni.
Coming from GPL recently, I found that I needed Logitech Profiler on for GTL to have FFB. I have a G27 and didn't use the profiler for GPL. I haven't altered the settings in windows settings game controllers so I can keep my GPL setup. Just make a new profile with these default settings pointing to the GTL exe in the Logitech Profiler and tick the box to allow game to alter settings. Then alter settings in GTL menus to suit.

Hi there, Andy!  You meet old friends in the strangest places.  Smiley

I've got the FFB up to an acceptable level now and have even managed to see the Multiplayer lobby showing altberbude and our simracing servers.  I'd like to join a couple to test my connection.  The simracing server asks for a password.  In the dark on that.  Tony?
