Fine drive to the win, Markus!  Bit of a runaway for you and if anyone was going to challenge, that evaporated early when anyone up to it managed to shoot themselves in the foot.

Quite pleased with a P2 finish.  I set a time here in April, 2019, with the BRM which was precisely equal to Markus' qualifying time but for our race yesterday, I couldn't repeat it.  Started P5 and the got the jump on Pepe to gain a place and be P4.  Dave went a bit wide in T1 and had to lift allowing me to be Jonny On The Spot to steal P3.  That soon became P2 when Baab spun in T1 on Lap02.  Looking good so far.  Baab's race was rapidly going into the toilet with a hefty collision on Lap02 when Bastian pinched him off.  Lap03 and a gruesome fate.  Stuck in the fence at T1.  A sad end to the day.

Starting Lap08, I thought that I'd sneak a sip from my cup of tea on the front straight.  That done, I fumbled putting the cup back onto my desk and that had me wrong-footed for T1.  Spun and clipped the bales.  Just as easily could have ended up like Baab but no, the gods were with me.  Dave and Bastian passed to demote me to P4 and I chided myself for making an unforced error.  I lit up the BRM in chase and when he got the rollercoaster section after the arch wrong on Lap10, I was cleanly by Bastian in a flash.  Dave was next on the menu but fully six seconds ahead.  It would be a tough go to reel him in but as Bastian was getting ever smaller in my mirrors, I was free to concentrate on narrowing DC's lead.

Lap14 and somewhat thanks to traffic and yellow flags, I was within sniffing distance of Dave's Brabham.  Dashing into T1 on Lap15, it was deja vu all over again in a repeat of Lap01 as Dave went wide and I snuck underneath him for the place.  Barely a lap later and in trying to finesse my way through the rollercoaster, the BRM got away from me and spun.  I planted the throttle and luckily, the nose came 'round to face the right way for me to continue with Dave right on my tail.  Talk about dodging a bullet!

Managed to run off the last dozen laps without dramas keeping DC back just a handful of seconds.  Markus long gone.  Pepe a good run to P5.  Well done, bud.
