I've now downloded everything I need for this, but as I'm a bit rusty could do with some ideas of a half decent laptime around here? I gone with the Audi with the stock setup applied as no one else seems to be using it, good choice?

Due to being a cheapskate I only bought one car so can't comment on how good the Audi is but I think the cars are reasonably close in performance. No idea on a laptime I'm afraid until practice starts tomorrow - I prepare well for these races Welcome back, long time since we did GTR/GTR2!

Hey Picnic, yeah been a LONG time since GTR2 days. But I'm liking my first impressions of RRE, my new PC is helping, as I can max everything out on my 43" TV for the first time...looks mega!!! I plan to race the same way I did before...hang around at the back, try not to get in the way, pray I don't crash!

Not done any laps in these cars yet, but you can check the leaderboard times for these cars within the game.

2:07's seem to be the fastest out there, I'm 5 secs off that!

Following slightly faster ghosts around in leaderboard mode is usually a good method for bringing down those lap times.

Hi Stu, welcome back, Geoffers and Glen's times would be up at the fast end. Mine would be the other end If you can get within a few seconds of the top leaderboard times then you are in with a shout

I’m in the low 2:11’s with the stock setup, not had time to tweak anything. Should be a giggle tomorrow night?

Really enjoyed that, cheers chaps. Race ones mistakes were all of my own doing, race rusty I think. Took a fairly hefty punt in the rear at turn one of the 2nd race putting me deep into the gravel, which is as a shame as I’d made a great start, but these things happen. Looking forward to getting back into more racing, might even get AC when the sales hit. Cheers guys.

Hi Stu and welcome back, was great to race with you!
I spent most of practice and qualifying going back and forth on setup but couldn't match Geoff's pace, in the end I didn't stray far from the default setup.
In both races Geoff had more pace early on but the races seemed to come back to me. We had a great battle swapping places on a number of occasions and it was clean (aside from the smallest tap into the hairpin in the second sector in race 1 - sorry for that). After I managed to make the lead stick Geoff kept the pressure on until he disappeared from my mirror, not sure what happened.
In race 2 I benefitted from a number of cars going wide at turn 1, I'd purposely stayed wide and cut back tight on exit to sneak into 3rd. Another great battle with Geoff, I'm not sure if the Honda was looking after its tyres better?
Well done Pete on a couple of strong podiums and Geoff and Frex!

I quite enjoy racing these as there seem to be some close battles a lot of the time. However I wouldn't call my results strong, I was consistent but several had quicker pace and with consistency should have beaten me. I was certainly helped in the second race when Frex made a very uncharacteristic mistake. Great to have Stew back and to catch up a bit on TeamSpeak last night

I was certainly helped in the second race when Frex made a very uncharacteristic mistake. Yes, I got confused with the brake marker boards, braked at the wrong one and steamed in to the hairpin way too fast. Very sorry Matt for ruining your second race there. Apart from that it was actually lots of fun. Congrats Glenn for the wins, and welcome (back) Stew.
