Good racing, just could not keep up the pace to challenge Glenn.
I was another one who swapped setups, had done some practice with the previous setup I had used then last night tried the default setup & was just as quick with it, so all the changes I had made previously had done nothing
.
First race, got the lead at the start but could not shake off the attentions of Glenn & when I ran wide at T2 Glenn went past. Hoped to hold on & give him a race but a couple of laps later I ran just fractionally wide at T2 again but on this occasion the car turned sharp right & sent me into the barriers. It very nearly ended my race as there was only a tiny fraction of engine health left, but is was enough to get me too the finish at a greatly reduced pace.
Got a good start in the second race from row 2 & took the lead again. Hoped to build a gap before Glenn could work his way to the front but he was already up to 2nd on the first lap & quickly caught up. After 2 or 3 laps Glenn got a better run out of T1 & got alongside into T2, I could have shut the door but decided to let him pass & try to hassle him into a mistake. It didn't work though & I gradually slipped further & further behind as the front tyres started to lose grip & had to settle for 2nd.
Congrats to Glenn on two more well deserved wins & to Pete & Frex on their podiums.
Unlikely to be able to challenge Glenn much more in this series, I am rubbish in these cars at both Hungaroring & Imola.
