Good morning all

What a beautiful circuit, what enormous work he had to ask for, a BIG THANKS to the creators.

6 in practice, 6 in the end, I am counting but with regrets because without all these accidents and my mistakes will have weighed down my race except at the end or with a good top speed I manage to regain 2 places.

I used my 5 Alfa, make way for the Porsche now

Thank you all, bravo Lasse and see you soon.

Fun stuff in Sicily!  Smiley

Grats to our podium finishers.  Well done.

I started at the back having not bothered to set a time.  I wanted to save my vision for the battle.  Got caught up in a couple of shunts early on the second of which required a reset to continue.  Paced myself nicely as others ran into difficulties and found themselves down track of me.  Great fun holding off the que til we got to the main straight and had both Alain and Phil slip by at the last dog.  A couple of hundred metres shorter and I might have been able to hold on for a P6 placing.

All in all, good fun.  Smiley

I was late for Q and couldn't finish the lap to get a time. So I started last. Too bad the too many crashes in the first part of the track caused by traffic and no way to avoid car crashing for follower cars. In the real life they used to start a minute apart I think, like in a rally. I don't know if it's possible with GPL without got DQ for not starting on the grid. Maybe starting from pits is it possible  Huh
Anyway, as stated by Clive, driving close to the car ahead is very difficult if both drivers doesn't know every turn of the track.
At half distance, after have avoided some spinning cars I catched Doni and started a long battle to avoid rear ending him  Grin
He was  very cautious and soon we were catched by Phil and Alain that had patience till the long straight to pass me and Doni. I had a too short 6th cause no time to set it, so it was like stole in a church for them and they disappeared in the horizon  Cry
Just a note, on 2017 I had a trip across Sicily with a rental car and I drove in a part of the old circuit to drive from Palermo to Caltanissetta. The roads are almost as they were on '67  Shocked

Hey that was good fun, haven't been to Targa in a while and it's always a great challenge. The extra fuel made things even more interesting. Thanks for the race. Grats to Lasse.
