Don't give up just yet Manteos.
1st. Check the Sierra can load offline ( it probably will).
2nd. Delete the ks_Zandvoort folder from your tracks directory and run the integrity check again so it reinstalls the track. I'm wondering if you have an old osrw or modified Zandvoort causing the issue.

As for my comment about the Merc, I have to assume it had its physics updated since whenever the previous file was put on the server. As I had to generate a new one before I could successfully enter in the 190. (I had managed to enter in 2 of the other cars before reaching the 190).

It would be a shame if you can't join us as I elways enjoy our battles Sad

Syd, I get what you're saying but every form of motorsports since the early 70's has been balanced in some respect - including DTM. As mentioned in the install files for the Sierra, it was fitted with restrictors to allow it to enter DTM as the Group A version (same engine) made over 600Bhp and was illegal according to DTM rules.
The 4 cars we have are from 1987 through to 1994 with no 2 cars from the same championship year,  hence the Alfa making 70hp more than the BMW and being based on a homologation car instead of a stock road car. In a single year of the series the front runners would have been seperate by a small margin of maybe a second, with the cars available to us that margin is now 5 or 6 seconds plus across the field with the same drivers.

As for tokens I suggested that years ago when we had big grids and no one was interested because of the setup time - AC just doesn't attract the same sort of drivers as GPL sadly so I'm doing the best I can.

I have plans for a Grp C series at a later point that leaves the cars unbalanced but will allow any make a chance of victory - this requires heavy work at my end calculating lap times, tire life, and fuel burn (I have a spreadsheet going as this is so complex) and it will be a while before I can run it as a result. If we're lucky I'll get furloughed before Christmas and can put the time In Wink

I'm also thinking of a gpl67 series after the next one which can be left with unbalanced cars. Assuming the tires on it are fixed now, I'm tempted to take the BRM for about laugh

I personally prefer to have balanced cars. I don't like it when I only win because of the car (and it has often happened Grin).

Unfortunately AC preferred to do most iconic cars of the DTM, shareable choice anyway.
The 4 cars in server are of different "generations". Maybe generations is not the correct term, but I think you understand what I mean. Only in 1993, the Alfa 155, Mercedes 190E and BMW M3 E30 (as private teams) raced together, the Sierra was not there I think, and Alfa was a beast. Smiley

I just tried everything I can, but nothing works. Deleted all the other DTM cars folder, reinstalled it after the integrity check. Then I did the same with the track. It didn't work.
So I tried to install the OSRW 32 pit version from the link provided by JVD on SRO forum, but it's always the same: "PROBLEM DURING CHECKSUM".

I'd say I've had enough  Undecided

Yes please Smiley

I'm already doing some original GPL races here in UKGPL while waiting for the next AC series.

OK, obviously I didn't give a too deep look to the cars beyond "DTM", so I didn't realize they are from such a wide range of years, and the difference is bigger than anything from the same year would be.

Ok. I have been running the Sierra on the server without any problems here. I stopped using Content Manager and it seems to work again without disco's.  Fingers crossed for tonight.

I have been up and down with the setup on the Sierra and nothing seems to get me in the low 1:49's. Must be my driving, but it seems for us mortals this is about the pace of the car. Not to mention it is getting harder to drive when the tires wear off. We will see what it will do tonight.

GPL67 sounds good, as long as it can be run without Content Manager!  Wink

I'll probably make this one. Followed suggestions for M3 setup from FMG and MJ and seems a bit better for it. Also increased damping which seems to have settled the car more. Let's see  Undecided

I've binned off Content Manager recently after it broke the chat functionality (and probably my Rift renderer) and am back to stock again.
If it needs CM then I won't be able to run it anyway!

I'm also getting the checksum error when trying to join server. I can successfully join other servers running Zandvoort, and other servers running the Merc, Alfa and M3, so it's got to be a problem with the Sierra installation. Definitely got the 3.03 version and it loads fine offline. Done the Steam integrity check and tried manually deleting the Sierra files and then re-installing but same result. Like Manteos I'm out of ideas now. No worries, have a good one.

I don't get why this working fine for some people and not for others Huh
Given how much else it's broken lately I'd be curious to know if anyone who can't get on is also running CM?

@fmg. a couple of weeks ago people were complaining about not being able to select gears and exit the pitlane on my TCR sunday night server. I reset the server and the problem went away. have you tried TOTO yet?

If you mean fully reboot the server then no - although the AC server program is reset for the race now so try again if you're availabe.
If we don't get enough people I'll likely cancel tonight though and setup a GPL race for next week instead.

I've sent Manteos my car and track directories so will be interesting to see if he can now join with that (Assuming you can't now we're on the race server)
