Pfeww, some hard fought battles. But boy, that was good fun.

I used Content Manager earlier for some replay recording and ofcourse it messed up my audio settings, so my qually went down the drain. And to make it worse I jumped the start for race 1 and had to take a drive through penalty. As did Frex as I had a Impreza on my tail exiting the pits. Had fun trying to regain some positions.

Race 2 was hectic for the first 10 minutes or so. Did had some guys changing lines when we where already in the braking zone, those tactics can end in disaster pretty easily lads. Luckely it stayed with a shunt here and there. However I also had a couple of great battles where there was enough space to not get run off the road. Especially the battle with Larry was a good one. We where side by side for more then 5 corners or so.
In the final stage I made a slight mistake with downshifting and suffered some engine damage, but I could keep in front until the checkered flag.
Thanks all for participating and looking forward to the next one.

Both you Stefan and Matt would join and immediately disconnect during practise and I think qually, where you have connection issues? It was a little distracting.

Lonely first race when Frex decided to drop to the back for some reason and I couldn't keep up with the front two. Second race was a bit more lively trying to get passed people, should have been a bit further up.

Could never get on with the corner after the first hairpin and once the tyres started loosing grip couldn't quite carry the speed as I wanted.

That was an exciting night of racing,

one place I was really struggling was on the back straight, kept getting mugged, not sure if it was me messing up the corner entering the straight and not carrying enough speed or the amount of wing I had, I had the rear wing on default (think it was 3) what rear wing were other people using?

Appologies for the distraction. This is a new build, and to my horror had not yet had AC installed on it when I went to join shortly before 7 ish
so kicked off the threatened 2 hour download (that wasn't that long) then when I joined I not configured the controls
then had non responsive steering so left to sort that, then had no mirrors, then I had autogears.....I had to keep leaving to check the web for the keys
eventually sorted it all just before race start, so just drove with what I had. I was moving over to let people through in Race 1 as I was not used to
the steering. Race 2 was better, and I managed to have some sort of duel with a couple of people.

Very enjoyable races.  thumbup1

Surprised myself with my qually lap especially as I made a couple of small mistakes. Got beaten off the line by Kimi & after repelling an early challenge from Mark, spent the rest of the race trying & failing to close the gap Kimi built up in the first couple of laps.

Race 2 had more excitement & a modicum of door banging early on but again I ended up chasing the leader, this time Stefan. Once again I could not close the gap & finished about 1.5s behind. Very happy though with two 2nd places.

Congrats to Kimi & Stefan on their wins.  clap clap

That sealed the championship too I guess. Kimi is not to be overtaken for points, so we have our champion!
Congrats  Smiley

I was on wing 1 Stephen

Thanks Stefan, I will use that as my excuse as to why I kept getting overtaken on the straight!
