Bloody nightmare tonight  Sad joined at 7.45 thinking nice half hour to get used to the track and get my eye in, but nooo a nice windows update fubared my flipping controllers. 3 pc restarts and 4 try’s at configuring my controls and half hour wasted  taz
Just got in time for qually but with no idea on setup at short notice, thankfully Tim mentioned 5th gear as I didn’t even know it had 5th  Tongue and had my ratio long for 4th to last the straight  laugh
By race start I still didn’t know how to attack that final corner and duly spun twice there in the early laps  Roll Eyes
Once I got that out my system I was able to do regular 1.40 times but I had an 8 sec gap to the top 7.  Sad After another late spin I gave up as nobody left to race as all the back end drivers had retired, so I parked it.
Nice combo of car and track, if I could have enjoyed a race I would have loved it but everything  conspired against me tonight.

I sort of enjoyed that. Everything seemed to work ok. I just missed dipping below 1.40 in practice, qualy and the race. I was very wary of other cars at the start - tight grid and didn't know how aggressive the driving might be here. So keen to avoid anything, I forgot to follow the track and went off in lap2, luckily not collecting anyone and ended up nose down in a ditch. I didn't know the etiquette here, but I escaped to the pits, where my controls were frozen for 30 secs. In that time, the field came by and I could set off a lap down. I hope that was ok to do.
I was near Mark on track, but a lap down, so I kept getting blue flags after he spun and I passed him. I let him past and followed for a while until he spun again. All was quiet until Tim came along near the end and lapped me again. Well done on the win, Tim, different class here.
I think if I didn't have my early mishap I would still have finished last of those still running. Time passed very quickly.

Welcome here at the AC corner Andy. You seem to have a decent pace, just to bad of the small mistakes.

I knew I had some kind of a setup from the previous series with the GTO and it was ok around here. Not really comfy to drive up until the end with less fuel. Had a few nice scraps in the beginning of the race, after that I was on my own for the rest of the race. Luckily it is a nice combo to be driving on you own.

Catch you all next week. (or this sunday with the TCR's)

I eventually decided to make the video although it is not very exciting...

Beautiful track and car anyway and fantastic handling despite Fabri's blasphemies yesterday (we won't tell Enzo).

After five laps no brakes whatsoever, time to clean pedals!

Do enjoy watching your vids Jos  Cool love that you have a wheel for almost any car type. That looks like a Nardi wood rim, very swish and spot on for an old car like this  Smiley Can see it makes a difference how it slides through your hands giving more natural steeing input/feel.
