Practice: 20:00 (30 mins) Qual: 20:30 (15 mins) Races: 20:45 (3 x 7 laps)
Cars allowed: CUPRA LEON E-RACER
Time of Day Setting: 13:00 Weather: Dry
Start: Standing start Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit-stops: none required
Notes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I am planning on using these cars for a series in 2021. However after doing some research it turns out that this car has been released on raceroom half finished. In its current guise it runs out of battery power after about 12 minutes. I have read that they are working on updating it with different engine maps that will increase the battery life. I have decided to hold off doing a series until the car has been updated. This fun race is just so that we can all get a taste of the car! i have done a few laps in it, it takes a few laps to get used to getting a feel for what speed you are doing as you dont have different gears as a reference.

I guess the timetrials don't need regen but thought there was an official series going on with these?

I have done a few practice laps in these cars. There is no reduction in power as the battery gets towards empty, you get full power right up until it gets to 0%, then it just cuts out

Practice server is up. My original plan was to run the races to laps rather than a time limit, but seems this is not possible on the RRE server So the races will be 9 mins + 120 seconds which should enable everybody to finish without running out of battery. there is an option to disable the fuel/battery use so we could run with unlimited battery capacity but i prefer as much realism as possible. so we will have to put up with this setup until RRE get there act together and add engine mapping to the car!

Indeed, no also first practice with the e-racer. Without battery it isn't e-riding, regen at the good moments (some formule-e scenario's maybe). Nissan's like in Mexico (xxxxx (ed) one more lap because leader just passed the finish line with only some seconds on the timer )

I presume 9mins + 120s = 11 mins. Anyway just tried a test race set at 11 mins (7 laps) & regen at 15% & ran out of battery power just coming out of the final turn & coasted across the line. So maybe a little less aggression on the throttle early in the race will be needed, or just go for it & hope!

Noob here, so how does regen affect the battery life and car handling? More regen I guess gives more battery life but what's the cost? Are there multiple separate settings here for brake regen/coasting etc?

Regen can be set up to 15%. I have it on max the whole time as the battery life is so short
