Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Cuts are off for this event.

Finally got back on the pace with the Scirocco after a bit of a barren spell since Mugello.

Was a fun race although at one point I thought I had thrown away any chance of a win. As usual Daz got a better start & in the early laps I was struggling to keep up, but a few laps in I seemed to get things together & started turning in some quick laps & closed the gap. Around half distance I got a good run through the final turns & got alongside Daz into T1 only to run a bit wide & allow Daz to nip back ahead. A couple of laps later I got another chance into T1, unfortunately this time I only succeeded in barging Daz off track (sorry Daz Sad), so waited for him to rejoin & pass.

These shenanigans dropped me back to 3rd as DD was able to get past as I got underway from waiting. Later in the lap I braked too late for T9 & skated off into the kitty-litter, it was at this point I thought the chances of winning had vanished but fate smiled on me. Another couple of laps & I was in the lead after both Daz & DD had spins & dropped back behind Ziu. A few fast but comfortable laps cemented the lead & I was able to bring it home.

Congrats to Daz & Ziu on the podium & to Daz for wrapping up the championship with one race to go.  clap clap clap

Congrats to Daz on winning the championship, well deserved.

This race was a lot of fun, even though the car decided to throw me out of the podium.

The start was decent and i overtake Ziu for P3. I wanted to stay behind Geoff an Daz but they were pulling away.

And when i thought this will be one of those lonely races they collided on turn 1 and i was now behind Daz, challenging for P1. Geoffers made a slide mistake and was now 6 seconds behind. I was surprised that Daz was not able to pull away quickly and it was clear that he is straggling with tires or damage or both.

Few laps later he made a spin at the end of turn 1 and it was me now on the lead. And everything was going great until the car decided to ruin my race. Geoff was quikly catching me but i knew that in this circuit overtaking will be tough. And when i was preparing for fight the car just whip her self and span. This happen once again on the same place few laps later and i watch the replay and i just can't find the logic for the cars behavior there.

So i was in P5 behind Erling and we started a mega fight for P4 and the second place on the championship race.

I try to surprise him by diving on the inside in turn 3 on the last lap but unfortunately i was not able to stop the car in time and i hit him on the last lap. Sorry Coyote. I let him pass because this was far from fear and we continue the battle until the very end as i finish just 2 tents behind him. great battle!

So the last race will be triple battle for P2 and 3 in the championship as Erling is leading me with 1 point and Geoff is 10 points behind him as well.

Congrats to Geoff on the win and to Daz and Ziu on their podiums.

Result

Cool

This time again there's a discrepancy between my and Tony's results:

As I noticed during the race something happened to Dan who - according to my XD -
was 15 laps down at the end and did not finish due to lack of fuel  Huh.
No idea what happened, but I saw a "??" by him in the chat just before I passed him.
Maybe he lost connection for a short time.
The lap by lap chart says: Lap14: seniordan12 is out of race. Reason - Out of fuel.

I tried to push him to the finish line at the end of my 30th lap but he had already a DNF.

Thanks for the results Kurt  thumbup1

The system didn't like Dan last night. He did run out of fuel but not on lap 14. He went way longer than that.

Interesting race last night, toughest for me since Mugello in many ways.....

Practise revealed Geoff had found some form again, and frankly I have spent the whole championship waiting for him to be easily faster than me because he always used to in FWD cars, always.....

He repeated the trick of being too quick in quali, but I had closed the gap a little. To my mind though the setup didn't feel as good as it had at other circuits, and I had no pace left to respond to his quick lap. I did get a good start though, and took the lead into turn one from that outside run that Dan was dreading me being on for some reason....Went flat out to try to pull away, which worked for a lap or 3, but then made a couple of errors at the same time that Geoff sped up, and he was then all over me. As he said, he did get through on the first part of turn 1 once, but I had seen him coming so cut back under when he went a predicted amount wide. But then he had another run at it, this time with just a little contact, very hard to avoid there to be fair. I think we may have both got away unscathed, but it sent me far enough off that I hit the barrier, more of which in a mo.....

Recovered to the track, just in front of DD, and Geoff was fair enough to have waited, which meant he was now 3rd. Watched him try to follow DD, and then go off, at which point I thought 'this may be my moment to pull away'.....but the car was just not right, and I just could not get the same pace out of it at all, a mysterious 1 second had been added to the laptime, and it just was not responding as it had been, so I suspected a little damage had been done. Then, to make it worse, I just tried too hard, I was wide on the kerb at turn 1, and ended up going off to the right and spinning, with another nudge into the armco. Hmm, now in P4 and with Erling very close behind, things looked ominous. Gave myself a talking to, and then reeled in Ziu for the final podium place, which we debated for a while with me applying pressure. Car was now 1.5 seconds off the pace of earlier, and it was tough to hang on to Ziu in some laps. This then became over 2nd place when Dimitar went off, and after a number of tries, including one very near miss into turn 1, I made it on through. Felt confident I was quicker, so was thinking I would pull away, but Ziu upped his game and the gap never got more than 1.8 seconds for the next 5 laps or so as we raced to the line. Good fun.

Championship? Just lucky I seemed to sort the setup out fairly quickly I think, and I very much lucked in on at least 2 of the races as well without question. But, Salzburgring and Silverstone were good for me for sure, as was Zandvoort up until I blew it all by myself, so I have had some pace to burn in this car it seems. Apologies all round  sorcerer

Really quite liked this track  - lots of fast and not too-slow corners, and plenty of elevation changes  wub

Race was a tough one.  Matt's starts in the Scirocco are fast becoming as epic (= annoying Grin) as Dan's are in all the other cars. I usually qualify just ahead of him, but invariably lose a position to him once the start goes. So too yesterday, when he got ahead of Ziu as well.  Thus I battled with Ziu, who was battling Matt, during the early laps.  Eventually we both got past Matt.  I tried hard to stay with Ziu, but he soon pulled away.  The chase did nothing good for my front tyres, which were pretty much shot midway through.

Thus ill equipped to fight with Dimitar, after getting in front of him after his first spin. He soon caught up and made an elegant overtake through T1.  However, on the following lap, his car mugged him again in the same place as before, so once more I got in front.  With 6 laps left, it looked doubtful I could stay ahead.  We soon had a close battle, culminating on the last lap when he made a move which bumped me off - no worries about that DD; very fair waiting from you Smiley  Back in front and a hectic duel for the remainder of the lap, giving me an unexpected and not quite deserved 4th.

Grats to Geoffers on the win & Daz + Ziu for podiums, and big grats to Daz for the Championship - really quite untouchable..  I Am Not Worthy

Final round battle for 2nd could be epic, but with Geoffers & Dimitar as opponents, I can't say I fancy my chances...  Cool

Btw, have to admire the level of detail by the modmakers of the Scirocco; noticed by chance in the replay that Ziu's & Tony's cars both have roof mounted antennas - different kinds no less.  None of the other cars in the race has this  Smiley
