Championship Standings here Grid/server capacity: 22Car/Track download available by pm to WT Track: Adelaide International Raceway Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (50 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Not required Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesdays Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None. I was expecting this to be the Adelaide street course, but no, this is a new track for me, totally different.

I was expecting this to be the Adelaide street course, but no, this is a new track for me, totally different. Same! Quite enjoyable this one, something very different than the usual. Like a short oval but with some infield corners included. Used my Surfers setup with 1 click shorter gears and managed a 57.8 so far. The setup feels quite nice, but will have to change the diff a bit tomorrow (less lock on coast and maybe more on power).

Only 1:01 something for me. Here's the hotlap replay and setup I used, if you or anyone else finds them useful: https://we.tl/t-oS4TxhjePJI'll probably make additional changes to the setup tonight, but it feels quite OK already (spent a lot of time working on it at Surfers Paradise).

You seem to be shortshifting from 2nd to 3rd in two places - is that correct? Did a 58.17 myself last night

Yes, I have to, because I made the gears shorter. That's very fast! Or perhaps we're both slow and DD is going to do a 56?

Yes, I have to, because I made the gears shorter. That's very fast! Or perhaps we're both slow and DD is going to do a 56? Probably - just did a so far not repeatable 57.747 with your setup (on low fuel and moderately worn tyres)

Down to 56.8 with some additional changes, but it's become increasingly difficult to be consistent. The braking points for T1 and the slow left, and the line through the last corner are so easy to get wrong, and yet they seem to make the most difference as they set you up for the hard acceleration that follows, which is what gains the lap time.
Did some setup changes to cure the understeer in the banked turns, but I'm still not entirely happy with it.

I trust that you had more fun than I did. Apologies to Robby for lap 1, I went extra wide trying to give you room and put myself on the grass.......then I had no grip and no brakes to avoid you . Once again FF was noticeable by it's absence during practice and qualifying, and I had just about got a "feel" for the light steering to post some respectable laps on full fuel. Then, when the flag dropped for the start I had a shed load of FF. So much in fact, that my puny old muscles just could not work against it and the car was just undriveable . Once the leaders had lapped me I decided to declare myself as dangerous and quit.

I tightened the tires a little too close at the entrance to the pit lane ... the car didn't like it !! Pity @EvilClive, are you still with Windows? In your place, I would reinstall the steering wheel driver over and over again, until it worked ... or maybe find a different driver?
