Well, I've enjoyed my 2 weeks of GTR2. How will people have time for this and a newly patched NK? Tongue

Puzzling.. Just saw the URL for the download.. : http://gameshadow.vo.llnwd.net/o1/ltd//demos/february20050217/race/racedemosetup.exe

February 2005? I was immediately suspicious, but checking the URL of that demo page, says it's registered to Eidos. Just can't figure what that URL's about !

Well, didn't take long for me to come to the conclusion.....it sucks.

The demo only has time trial, in probably the slowest cars in motorsport history. What the hell is fun about that? How can we test the racing alone?
The garage setup screen is useless. The cars go so slow and drive on rails that it's for the braindead IMO.
And to make matters worst, we can only select the car of the biggest idiot ever, Coronel in his Seat.

Thought this was a deffinat buy, but I might spend that money on a full fuel tank, so I can driver faster myself than these cars can.

I forgot to add that the damage model is GTL level. I went straight into the barrier at 60km/h, and there was hardly any damege. It's much much better in GTR2 where every bump causes some aero damage.

5 laps and I'm feeling a little underwhelmed I'm afraid. It feels, generally, like driving games do when you firs try then- a little awkward due to the little differencies. The thing that worries me is they just seem to have forgotten to add the excitement  Embarrassed
