Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1065s

Aagramn is following NoSpeed into the final turn and as they brake both cars get out of shape resulting in some contact. Both cars are slowed and Pedro who is following behind manages to just squeeze through as the two cars bounce off each other.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 1404s

Leuven is chasing Aagramn and as they enter turn 5 Aagramn gets a bit out of shape and runs wide onto the kerbing. Leuven moves to the inside but Aagramn gets even more out of shape on the kerbing and slides into Leuven's path resulting in contact.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 2300s

Paul968 has closed up on Popabawa and has been pressuring him for several corners. As they exit T5 Pops stays to the left of the track and Paul moves to the right, which is the outside line for the following left hander T6.
As they reach the braking point Popabawa moves across to the righthand side of the track to get a wider line for the turn. Paul is planning on braking late and going around the outside and cannot slow in time and taps Pops in the rear sending him off.

This incident is complicated by the fact that the racing line does move across the track at this point and Pops took the corner as he had done on previous laps.
I'm almost inclined to view this one as a racing incident except for two things:
Popabawa'a move across the track is quite sudden and, even though he mostly follows the racing line, this is not an advisable thing to do when being challenged from behind.
This was Paul's first time behind Pops for T6 and should have exercised more caution until he had seen what kind of lines Pops was using.

  • Paul968caution — contact with Popabawa
  • popabawacaution — choose a definite racing line before the braking point

Server replay time: 2507s

Truetom is rejoining in the final curve after having an off and cuts into the path of the approaching Aagramn. Good foresight and some heavy braking by Aagramn is all that prevents an accident here as Truetom moves further and further across the track onto the racing line.
Drivers are reminded that when rejoining the track after going off line, you must stay off the racing line until back up to speed.

In this case it was Truetom's haste to get back up to speed, causing him some power oversteer, and it was this that moved him across onto the racing line. So I am reducing what would normally be a penalty to a warning.

  • Truetomwarning — careless rejoin
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 2530s

Truetom goes wide in the chicane and ends up sliding across the gravel. Something in the gravel trap flicks his car up and sideways into the path of Aagramn and there is side contact resulting in Aagramn going off.

Think that would be a good idea, the reserves shouldn't need long to get in, and an extra 5 minutes in qual would be good.

I think the longer qual is a good idea too. We're starting 15 mins earlier than before and knocking time off the event if we stick to the schedule.

Why has no1 mentioned the start grid bug???

If i quali P1 then i'll be but P2 and vice versa. This is random tho but for me its always happened at Valencia.

Well i suggest that if this does happen i will let the pole guy thru from second place and form up behind him

'Tis a good point - the application of common sense when moving off for the pace lap is to be encouraged. Wink

Are you in one of the addon team cars ?
If yes then my guess is it isnt installed correctly.
If no then try the gtr2 3d config setup thingy.
If that fails sorry no idea apart from a re-install.

Have you changed anything else on your PC recently, like drivers or BIOS settings?

The only thing I can think of is to try changing the DX level in 3dconfig like Greg said. If your running DX9 try DX8 or7 Undecided

by re-install u should remove reg entries, if any left behind, and re-install to a different location, create a new profile etc.

Is this happening on other standard tracks as well? online and/or offline CTD?

Are ur other games ok? re-install ur gfx drivers (or get latest ones)
