Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Car/Track download pack available by pm to WT

Track: Zolder '67

Cars: Aston Martin DB4, Ferrari 250 GTO, Jaguar E-Type

Car restrictions: One drive maximum per make/per night. You decide which race you enter which make in.

RACE ONE
Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (5 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car make. One attempt at a timed lap only
Race: 20:25 (10 laps)

RACE TWO & RACE THREE will follow, with same rules

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

The cars and track combination is great. So far I managed 1:39.5 with Jag, 39.7 with Ferrari and 39.3 with Aston.

I upload all setups and they are actually Hristo's setups from Jyllandsringen with a couple of changes here and there.

Well, actually in lap nine I came out of the last chicane before the s/t line rather sideways(only saw the road in front through the side window) and accidentally crossed the line to the pit entrace which was good for a stop and go which I decided to ignore. The rest is history.

Really enjoyed last night's event  and I think all no shows missed a lot of fun. Admired Hristo's firm determination and endless fight to free his car from the banking and special thanks to Clive and Tony and Erling (the latter for merely a lap and a half before he vanished into the distance) for good battles.

Cheers, Dan

Indeed Dan, last night's races were great fun. Although, you should have beaten me in 2 of them as you were undoubtedly quicker !!!

Grats to the podiums and yes, those who did not take part missed some great racing, on a classic circuit with ( no dumb chicanes!) and 3 awesome cars.

I threw caution to the wind last night and opted for a kamikaze style. Since getting my new wheel and pedals I have tried to be a lot smoother and focused on line and throttle control................it has not exactly set my world on fire as far as results go.
With just 10 laps to live through in each race I figured that the tyres could suffer some abuse. So I started with DD/Hristo's setups and adjusted things to give me more drift ability. The Aston was the hardest to drive as it simply did not appear to have the same brakes as the other two?, but it did have better grunt and top speed in my setup.

Just Silverstone to go and once again thanks to Tony for another winning car/track/season combination  thumbup1

A very fine and funny version of this track indeed.
While practicing with the Jag I could not reach laptimes under 1:44.5 using DD's setup - and I
would have been even slower using a selfmade one - so I decided to miss these ones.

It's really a shame that in the most interesting and fun championship once again we were just 6 people.

And again - awesome battles with Hristo. In race 1 he was too fast for me but at the end his rear tires were off I suppose and I had a slide chance of win.

Race 2 was great as well. We were level on pace with Aston. I was quicker on the start and took the lead. Later after a stupid mistake by me Hristo took the lead. After that I was just a tiny bit faster and was able to wait for my moment. I overtake him in turn 1. Unfortunately later he made that mistake that put him out of the game.

Race 3 was great. We fought for few laps but Hristo made a mistake and the second part of the race was lonely.

It was great racing. I love this championship. The final 3 races will be so interesting.

Grats H on wining race 1 and the podium guys.

Thanks Clive, that's very much appreciated.

BTW, don't throw these cars away as I'm planning to use them in the 2022 Christmas Special, a 2.4hr race at Österrichring.

Apologies for not showing, it is for the same reasons as before.

This series was huge fun, yes, but I had a couple of weeks away in summer, and ended up missing 3 of these events in total, putting me well down the order in the championship.

I am aware that at times I may be quick enough to get close to the front, and the last thing I would want to do is ruin a championship battle when I am not involved in it, so I felt it was better to sit out than take that chance.

I hope that makes sense.
