Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Welcome to Round 2 at the Red Bull Ring near Zeltweg in Austria.
Ballast will be applied to last weeks victors/Victims as follows:

+20Kgs = Manteos
+15Kgs = FMG
+10Kgs = Lokanas
+ 5Kgs = Fabri

Red Bull Ring is just the most recent layout to exist on this site having (re) opened in 2011. Previously it was the A1 Ring, and prior to that it was the insanely fast Osterreichring.
We'll be using the mid-sized national layout for this round - which will likely favour cars with good peak speeds over last weeks handling circuit.

When joining the server please ensure you select the correct car.

Password: see above

Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qual: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (2x 24 lap races)

Cars allowed:
Alfa 155 (+11Kg ballast, 10% (-42Hp) restrictor)
BMW M3 DTM (no handicap)
Ford Sierra R500 V3.03 (+20Kg Ballast, 45% restrictor (turbos don't respond the same as N/A before you ask!)
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ford-sierra-cosworth-rs500-pack.24027/
Mercedes 190E DTM (+6Kg ballast, 1% (-6.3Hp) restrictor).

IMPORTANT! Additional car skins added!
Jos has switched to the Dutch side and jumped into a Sierra with Maxime to form a team, as such he is now driving the #25 car from the same skin pack as Maxime - this was not included in the original skin pack so you'll need to download this update to avoid seeing a blank car.
Lokanas has also made a custom skin for his BMW so that is also included.
Please install as you did with the original pack, nothing should be over-written unless you already have it!

Forgive what might be a noob question folks, but is there a published etiquette anywhere? Is it, for example, the rules to give a place back if you accidentally punt somebody? Huh? (guilty in race 1 this week folks, massive apologies to whoever it was I turned!)

What a soulless track honestly. I get that we can expect loads of action but that track really lets me as cold as the coming snow..  Roll Eyes

It's not got much soul has it? Grin

But the track list was also picked to equalise the series - as much as possible we have an equal number of tracks that favour top speed, acceleration, handling and braking.
By now you should have a pretty good idea which car specialises in which, this track is a power/top speed circuit - so sorry in advance to the Ford guys, although I'm looking forward to seeing the battles that will ensue as you'll have the upper hand in much of the back section and of course, the braking zones.

Anyway, boring tracks often make for great racing - so I hope this one is no exception.

The server has now been restarted with the updates added  Smiley

If you installed the above package before 11:40 (UK time) then please re-download and re-install the package.

Please ensure you grab them and install prior to the race!

I run AC through content manager. And when we run two races like this, CM only saves the second race.  I checked in settings - Assetto Corsa - Miscellaneous and limit for races is set to 10, max size is 1100mb. Anybody else using CM and getting both races saved?

I did two very bad races. Race 2 probably the worst ever. angel My mind was elsewhere.
Hard to do worse.

Congratulations to everyone because despite the tight positions there were no contacts.

In case you need it, you can download my replay from this link => https://drive.google.com/file/d/15_UmlQ_N8wrw8OH1S-rNVsV2Vjf07EIO/view?usp=sharing

Abuot my races. I did 3 stints in qualif session, and I nailed only 1 lap with softs which earned me the pole position. Adding to this that Fabri gained the 2nd place, has put me in the best possible situation.
So I could exploit the pitched battle that was taking place behind me, escaping from the group until Fabri stood in 2nd position, gaining almost 5 seconds on my rivals. When I saw that the good Jos had the better of his "enemies", I knew that he'd have catch me before the checkered flag, after I tried the Sierra yesterday on H, as I was almost a second slower on meds with my Alfa during the last 5/6 laps.
Luckily Jos bumped on my back only in the last 2 laps, and with a gearbox that was at the very end of his working life, I managed to keep the lead sweating like a fountain  Grin

Bravo Jos! Great race mate!

Race 2:

This time I had no more faithful teammates to exploit angel and Jos was pushing very hard during the first 3 laps. So I had to push even harder to keep Jos at a "safe" distance. Luckily this time I found an unexpected ally in Tim  Tongue, that was surely helpful for my race. As he was fighting with Jos tooth and nail I managed to put a gap of 4.5 seconds circa, escaping another time from a possible comeback of the following chaps during the last laps. This time I was trashing my gearbox even more badly than race 1  Grin, going wide in a couple of corners losing a lot of time and giving the chance to Tim to catch me at the last lap. I have to admit that I was really really really lucky this time, as I did the last scratching bonus downshift right at the last corner. Another lap and I'd have finished last.

But this never happened so.... c'mon Alfa! You can do it Grin Grin Grin

See you guys Smiley
