Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 180s

Jos runs wide entering T6 and ends up in the gravel and grass, despite reduction of throttle and an attempt to rejoin cleanly the bumpy nature of the infield results in his bouncing onto the track and into Lorenzo.
Lorenzo could do nothing to avoid Jos.
Kimi, Bob and Jari were also caught up as they were only able to choose to hit either barriers or spinning cars.
Commendably, those who had time to react chose the barriers.

As the nature of Jos' rejoin was caused by the infield surface this is considered to be a Racing Incident.

Server replay time: 217s

On the approach to T12 Bob puts his left-hand wheels onto the grass while exiting T11.
This situation prevents him from braking on time and he misses the braking point for T12.

Kimi is a few car lengths ahead and on the right-hand side of the track - Bob's trajectory takes him down the centre of the road and he attempts to slow; before turning left at the last moment to try and miss Kimi - this still results in a glancing contact that knocks Kimi slightly wide but Bob runs clean into the concrete wall bordering the track.

Racing Incident.

Not at all Ibnsolmyr, had the dreaded start up repair problem with windows, had to reinstall everything then the oculus software made me join bloody facebook and had to wait a week for the thing to work, then crashed onto desktop last night. Will try again on Wed. On the plus side the Oculus Quest2 with the PC link cable is much better than the CV1 in game.

Mmm, I find it pretty hard to get decent pace in the Beemer around this track. It is going to be a tough race. Hopefully I can cut more corners.... ejhhhhh I mean find some more pace tonight.

My replay https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DPzwzU1xCI3S8_UulJHOGs3c--Bzep59/view?usp=sharing

This time my work has been quite easy  Tongue

After a good quali lap with meds and the usual gap of some millisecons by Tim, I took the lead with the "4WD Alfa mafia clan" teammate Fabri, that also burned his poor Merc  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Tim had the better on the rock-hard Fabri Nannini after 6 laps or so, but was too late to try and comeback for him even if his pace was almost a second faster than mine in the last 4 laps.
Well done team Alfa and Tim. I can feel your pain every time you see our Alfas flying at the start.  Undecided

Race 2 was even "easier", because Fabri and Tim started again a rustic duel and after a couple of laps I saw Tim's Merc landing into the sand at the uphill bend of 3rd sector. By that moment my only task was to stay focused on the race, so I followed to push until the checkered flag, managing to keep a pace I'd never expect before tonight's race. On a remark note this time Fabri resisted until the end for a solid 1-2 Alfa that will surely be appreciated by the management and guarantee the renewal of our "ticket" for the next season  Wink

Well done chaps. See you for the next Smiley

I used to 'like' Horsma after having done a few races here with SRO and offline, but in the DTM's it's an absolute blast!
Unfortunately for me my biggest racing headache in this series seems to be the Alfiosi, last night I made a setup breakthrough for my hard tires (it may be specific to Horsma as I changed a LOT to cope with the bumps).
But that still left me with the problem of having to fight past Fabri as soon as possible while his Mediums were still fresh. In race 1 this took too long, if not for the oil on the exit of turn 17 (Seriously - watch the replay, both Matteo and I run wide there on the final lap. I quite literally go flying though thanks to it) I would have probably crossed the line within a second of him, but not close enough to even try to pass.

For race 2 I knew I had to go full attack with a bin it or win it attack on Fabro from the start. If I could pass him within 2 or 3 laps then based on race 1 I could be on Matteo with time to actually try and pass him.
Unfortunately I didn't spot my brake-marker while going up the hill into turn 18 and totally missed the corner - this dropped me back to behind Max and 5th position.
Max very kindly made it easy for me to get back by, and Maxime then did similar by falling off at T1 around half race distance before I had caught him.
Fabri how-ever fought tooth and nail to hold me off when I caught him. Each and every time he was saved by that censored 4 wheel drive!
Eventually I tried for the unexpected and went around the outside of the final chicane - it turns out it's extra bumpy out there so I lost back end and had to go grass tracking to avoid hitting anything. After re-joining the track I couldn't catch Fabri again with time to attack.

Well done to Matteo and Fabri (Fabri is like Matteo's 'extra life' I've decided Grin ).
Welcome back to Max, from your pace you'll be back to fighting at the front pretty soon i recon  Wink

Despite grumblings I hope you all enjoyed that one, I seriously doubt I'd use it for anything faster (60's F1 maybe, that worked well at SRO) - but something like the Fords Vs Alfas series would be amazing here Wink

Track was pure dynamite, unlike my driving...

Track should have been dynamited, let me correct that for you  Grin

Cant say i enjoyed this track in the BMW. It was like driving a bucking bronco. I had to dial down my ffb and soften the springs so much that the car became a bouncy castle with a skittish rear end that liked to constantly skip sideways off the bumps. The Sierras had such a huge advantage in the middle sector, even when i had a 3 or 4 sec gap over Jos or Max they could close it with ease in that sector alone.

Race 1 i qualified far better than i expected in 6th place. Had a good early chase of Kai whilst Maxime did his usual close up on us all from the rear and pick us off one by one. But still enjoyed a healthy run hanging on for dear life whilst Stefan and lorenzo put me under some pressure. But at mid race at T1 i carried too much speed into that nasty downhill off camber turn and span around on the concrete run off strips. Lost a load of positions and rejoined in 12th  Cry Chased Jos and the pack for a few laps until the end but too far away to do anything, then gained a place or two near the end when he and Jari? came together in sector 3. Finished 10th  Sad

Race 2: More of the same, hating the handling on the bumps but just getting my head down. Had some fantastic battles trying to keep Jos's Cossie behind me, he was all over me and took a couple of nibbles but considering how much my car was bouncing about its not surprising. The fighting was close and intense and he eventually squeezed by within millimetres in sector 3  but then prompty nibbled the wall at the final corner allowing me to scamper back up the inside for the s/f straight.  Smiley I gained about 3 seconds here but as mentioned, the closing speed in sector 2 was like we were in different class racecars  Shocked He was soon joined by Maxime who must have had an earlier off and i was fending off two fast Sierras now  Shocked
Jos was soon back on my tail again and got past a lap later when i got a little out of shape off a kerb on exiting the downhill hairpin allowing both past  taz
Next up was Stefan attacking me and we had a great scrap for a few laps, swapping places a couple of times whilst the two cossies disapeared up the road  Sad Then Kai appeared on Stefans tail to give him something to think about and give me a desperate breather from my constant combat  sweatdrop
In the last lap i saw them both spin off into the sand at the final hairpin in my mirror and i sped home for wherever i finished.  Huh
have to say Race 2 was brilliant for action but mainly because i was fending off quicker cars/drivers in an ill handling car and others were making mistakes, falling off at one corner or another. Wont be sad if i never race here again.
