Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 180s

Approaching T11 Manteos is to the outside of the track having just been passed by FMG on the straight before hand. Syd has a run up the inside into T11 following FMG.
Matteo turns in and leaves room, having realised that Syd is there.
Syd has to go over the inside kurb - which pushes him out slightly - but he also appears to be taking a slightly wider line than would be normal on the approach to T12.

As Matteo is taking a more normal approach, albeit towards the right of the track (that is to say 'approximatly the right of the center of the track') this results in contact.

Some of the blame in this contact is mitigated by the kurb as Syd was fully slowed in time for the corner, however the actual contact was still his responsibility due to the following 2 points:

1. The fastest racing line through the T11/12 corner complex involves staying as far left as possible through and out of T11.
2. As the lead driver Matteo has a right to choose his line through a turn (within reason - intentionally forcing a following car off track is obviously unacceptable).

Manteos was forced to retire after this incident, however that is due to a track bug as opposed to a direct result of this incident.

A penalty of 1 position is awarded given the circumstances.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Side by Side contact — 1 place lost

Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Welcome to Round 7 of the DTM season. For this round we're going on a sunny holiday all the way to Japan and the Mine circuits' 'Central Park' layout.
Ballast will be applied to the following drivers as follows:

+20Kgs = Manteos
+15Kgs = FMG
+10Kgs = Fabri
+ 5Kgs  = Maxime

Mine Circuit was a mainstay in Japanese motorsport until it shut it's doors in 2006, always hosting rounds of either the Japan GT Championship and/or Formula Nippon. Since closing it has been bought by Mazda and is now used as a testing ground.

When joining the server please ensure you select the correct car.

Success ballast updated (sorry Maxime) and server up!

Also - can I interest you in a fast Yelow Merc Max? Just to brighten the field up a bit more than the drab AC skin you had at Horsma?
DTM isn't DTM without the Deutsche Post 190E as featured below on the Brands poster Wink

I've coloured you yellow instead Cheesy

Extra skin needed!
Hi all, please download Max's car and place it into your "*your steam folder*\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\ks_mercedes_190_evo2\skins" folder  Smiley
Files is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w1bd2j3z6pfdl2s/Deutsche_Post_17.rar?dl=0

You won't need any other files as you should then have everything.

Well done teammate on releasing me of that extra load... Let's see if it actually has any impact in the next race.  Grin

Anybody got some spare brake markers?  Grin
Lots of tight turns with nothing to use as a marker. Even t1 doesn't have it.

this tracks a little m'eh  yawn especially for the Japanese, though see they spice it up by removing some corner and brake markers and installing anti-Godzilla climbing kerbs  Grin  Tongue prefer Okayama by far.

I don't see anything Grin Probably my low graphics settings show little (and bad) of the edge of the track. I'll have to learn by heart.

Can't say I like it. I don't know how is the actual track, is it really that flat, with those naughty kerbs  Roll Eyes Then the mod looks quite poor, one of those whose we're not happy with with its quality, but only to have it.

I found this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MitX8bZS5Zw Looks like there's bit more elevations than AC track, anyway I won't take part of this race. Every millimeter of this track is so stupid...

Oh come on Kimi! When you are driving with 15 other drivers around, things might look different.

I for one will be more at the back this time as I will be learning heel & toe. Had one hour of practice and it is hard to be constant after years of left foot braking.  Mostly adjusting to the distance between the brake and gas pedal. But a great step up in immersion.

ha welcome to my world Stefan, glad to hear the new (old) pedals are being put into action  Smiley  It will take a little time until your muscle memory adapts to the new kit but then should become more natural.

Can see there is universal love for this track  laugh I am wondering how we will be able to overtake anyone for at least 2/3rds of the track  Tongue not that i've done much of that in this car anyway Embarrassed

edit, it looks better in that video link for sure! and kerbs far more sensible.
