For some reason Nick Philips was unable to see Paul968's car and ran into the back of him in turn 2.

Nick allowed Paul to pass him again a couple of corners later.

Did anyone else experience jerky wheel movement down the pit lane?

Yes. There's no warm-up like there was in GTR. Silly boy Smiley

but i got no drivers showing as 'on track' until they all went blue on the 00 time  Huh  Is the no-warm up something we (UKGTR) have invoked or is that just what the game does now? I dont get how i didnt suffer it in the TPG race (at Valencia) the other night.

Either way i'm a dingus for missing it. I'm gonna ask the missus to slap me round the face a few times with a large herring....i  deserve it. Hit with a wet fish helpsmilie

GTR2 has a 2 minute countdown to the start of the race, because this is plenty of time to check the race setup it was felt there was no need to have a 2 minute warmup and then to sit on the grid for 2 mins while everyone fannies around before joining. If you look at the race announcements there is no warmup now listed in the session list unlike last season.

Nick gently let me past, eventhough we were fighting for position Kiss.
Much as I would love to fight you for position, my only chance would be if you were in an NGT I think Grin

No point holding a team mate up though.

Qually went well, didn't manage to match my pb and was just pipped by Truetom. Cool

Race was absolutely fantastic and very hard at the beggining as I was attaking TT and constantly trying to find a way past not just for position but to try and shake off Minton(Dan?) who was all over the back of me.
It was great driving but It would have been very difficult keeping that up for 80 minutes. Shocked
Had a couple offs and some contact which saw me near the rear of the grid, but after my pitstop (which I messed up as they put in another 26 Gallons of fuel in after using only about 10Gallons in 45mins.) Roll Eyes I came out a few seconds behind Pribero and persued with the chase, eventually catching and having a good battle with but not passing as you held on just enough in the twisties so you could burn me off on the straights(which seemed to been the case with everyone), untill in the end the engine just decided it had had enough of Valencia and chucked the towel in. Wink

Well, that was probably my first and last appearance in the Vertigo of Doom but it was a very enjoyable race in the end.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this but I may have to give the Vertigo the same fate too TBH Even though I would like to do a full season with it. :'(
I have to drive the **** out of it and push it beyond its limits just to compete but for 40-80 minutes even with the extra 70KG taken off it's too much of a risk especially for others who get into problems with me durng a race as I don't want that.

I was questioning my car choice in the first couple of laps as various Porsche's whizzed past me down the straight Cheesy but my tactic of just being consistent (which I definitely wasn't in the RSR) and coming in very late for the briefest of pitstops seemed to work OK and I'm well chuffed with my 4th place, not that far behind Bernie and Minton.

Yeah, the amount of times in the past two races that I have pushed like hell all through the lap and got a great run out of the last corner only to be blown away be EVERYONE. Angry
You did well to finish where you did Pops, and I'm racing more for the enjoyment than the win, but I can't consentrate on consistency as I end up thinking about stuff, going too slow etc so I have to push to keep consentration Roll Eyes.

So I think that'll be the last time I clean the dead flies/bugs off the back window of the Vertigo for a while whilst I consentrate on a different car and spend some time practicing. Roll Eyes

THE END.  Grin

PS congrats on the Wins Jon and Truetom, and CeeJay too in the Chevy, sounds great with that V8 sound pack installed  Smiley

Good win for the Pengu... errr, Team Shark and Legends Racing.  Grin

Found a compromise setup which surprisingly enabled me NGT pole with Leuven and Minton close. I dare to say the Vertigo was good choice for fun but a bad one to compete for the win.  Wink   Alien Leuven in his Vertigo was quicker everywhere but on the s/f line and I decided its best to keep him busy. So I didn't drive on the limit but just fast enough to let Leuven and Minton have a constant duel and I stayed safely in front. Was watching replay - good duel guys, very nice driving.  Cool   When Leuven and Minton put eachother out (  angel )  Bernie Lomax took the chase - was feeling like a deer running from the woolves for a while.  Grin  Managed to stay in front and used lapping GTs to increase the gap. Afterwards to the end I was racing alone and just kept the gap big enough. Don't know how, but after pitting I had the next car 40 sec behind.  Huh    Had to make one lap extra but I had enough fuel for 15 min more driving.

With Pops and PaulW 4th and 5th Legends Racing  have a nice amount of points. When we teach MJ to press the red button we will do even better.  Tongue   Grin

Good win for JonM and big thanks to GTs for the patience - Valencia doesn't allow lapping at every moment.  Smiley

I went of about 4 times TT which left me that far behind after the pitstops..Was driving the car way to hard.
