felt like a mobile chicane again. Did a few practise laps this afternoon and was doing 131.2's then entered the race and the pressure got to me again and couldn't better a 133. Got shunted from behind on warmup lap and affected my aero but carried on. Towards the end of the race my tyres were in pieces and kept coming off. Suppose practise makes perfect. Well done to podium and everyone who lapped me. Gee you lads are fast.!!!

Interesting race for me, only did 3 laps in the Maserati before i entered the server and didn't get much testing done in the short practice period either. The car was really hard to control over the bumps, especially in T1, which is where i lost it in the early laps. Tried to fight my way back through the field, but didn't get very far. :-/
Still an enjoyable race overall, looking forward to testing the Lister in Brno. :-)

Same story here mate. I got 1.30 something in Quali but the race was another story. My car felt like Torvil & Dean near the end.. Came 17th but enjoyed the race immensley.
Good race all.

Very intersting race. Didnt appreciate the over ambitious overtaking attempts, risking taking us both off, fortunatly I managed to survive.
Couldnt get a decent qual lap in, some you win some you loose.
Well Iv'e come to the conclusion that the 04 550 is crap. After about 10 mins into the race it started misfireing, spluttering. My only option was to short shift for the remainder of the race and nurse it home, needless to say it killed my pace and any hope of a decent finish. Thats 2 races running where the engine has became problematic, fortunatly after sundays dead engine I was able to recognise the signs and ease off a bit. Cant understand where this sudden engine problem has come from, and no I dont switch auto-clutch off. Oh well might try the 03 550 or join the rest of the crowd in the Lambo.

I just got home from work and I turned the PC on and joined. 20 minutes left in qually. I didn't test any race setup, so I used my qually setup and got 2nd place after Jon (again, grats). After the warmup lap the speed of the 550 gave me a position to show myself in Jon's left mirror. But it was too risky and unnecessary to try it in the first lap. In the second lap I could just keep up in the tiwsty bits, and get a good exit out the last corner. That game me first place. After that I had to push hard to keep Jon behind me. Valencia is a easy track to defend when you haver a fast straight-line car. In lap 5 I noticed my fronts (softs) were overheating, and were often reaching 110-115 . That's the hard lesson when you can't/don't practice a racesetup. So after lap 5 it was DEFEND!!! First I had to keep Jon behind for several laps. We had an awesome session where we were next to eachother for a few corners. After he went off, I had a 575 and 550 behind me. At that point I had terrible understeer due to overheating and worn tyres (worn message after 27 minutes ). I could keep the 575 behind me, just. I had to brake so early for some corners, because the car just didn't want to steer in. You can see me steering in waaaaay before the corners, but nothing happened. Also with the 575 I had some door-2-door action through a few corners. I probably had the slowest race-pace of all cars on track, but due to defensive racing, I could take the win with only 00:00:050 difference Great race for me (the battles, but terrible car (my own fault due to bad setup). Sorry if I held people up, but it was for position, and it was risky for me to get into pits with 4 cars behind.

That was hard work! Had more pace than in the endurance and had some great battles in the middle of the pack. Madd seemed to fly off into the distance at the start. I had Aagramm in sight but could never get onto his tail. Had to hold off a charging Saleen (mark?). I could pull a little gap and then he would come back up to me again so could never let up at all!
I think Madd had a coming together with a back marker and was in the gravel. After that he caught me up and gave me loads of grief. Thought he had me into the left hander at the end of the back straight so went wide to give him room up the inside and then saw him spinning in the mirror. Hope we didn't make contact and I apologise if it was my fault, will check the replay. He then began to catch me up again but it look like he went wide and hit something as his car was stood on its nose! Wierd.
Need a drink after that!

No you didn't touch me, I was seething after earlier 'incident' , I just pushed too hard, the car got stuck on a rumble strip of all things, nice bug simbin Not really a track I like, although pace was a little better than endurance, setup is getting there.....slowly. I just seem to be having a bad run lately. PS Did anyone have any warped cars at side of track?

Tough track, tough race. Was pleased to break 1:30 in qual, and was sitting comfortably in 9th until 5 cars pipped me in the last couple minutes. Was incredibly close in the midfield, think 8th to 15th were covered by only 1/4 of a sec. The Valencia grid bug strikes again. Put me a place up in 13th, ahead of TrueTom. Flashed my lights and waited on the straight to encourage him to take his place, but he probably thought he was dealing with a crazy person and wanted none of it. Was looking for a way to let him past without compromising my position to the next car early in the race. Tom got a run on me at T2 a couple laps in, and I got on the brakes early to make it easy. Took meds for the race as I had wear problems in the NGT sprint on softs, but they didn't seem to help much, my pace still fell off considerably. Paul Richards kept me under pressure for most of the race, and Madd & Radius passed me fairly easily in their Lambos. At the end, Martin was catching quickly, while I was coming around to lap my team-mate. Sorry about the contact Gerald. After you ran wide I was suddenly catching you a rate of knots, and I didn't get on the brake early enough. Martin was able to get past while we tangled up, but very sportingly gave me the place back. Thanks Martin, much appreciated. We then had a last lap fight, and I just managed to hold him off. Well raced, another lap or two and I'm sure you'd have been past. Congrats to Ruskus for the win.

Very exciting race, i was praying it was 20mins longer. Took the lambo for fun as never driven it in anger b4..spent 30mins putting a setup together earlier and when i was confident for race...i had the "click-to-join-and-nothing-happens" THING!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhh Tried every trick i know and just nothing. Was about to give up when my dad came in saying "son, im having trouble checking my mail" so i said there server is prob down lol and figured the laptop was screwing my connection. Dhut it down and VIOLA i joined np! Actually yes a prob...just 2:30 mins left of quali. Loaded my setup and was out of pits...i swear i was about to cross the line saw "next session" went over s/f line...saw P2 in the top right cnr just as the session ended and thought YIPEEEE!!!! lol it wasnt to be i was still P26 hahaha...thought it was the save of the day but no luck!!! Just needed 1 second more So...onto the race...so tuff to pass on that track and quick drivers in the 1:30's but i kept pushing forcing mistakes and taking the gaps...lap after lap...then saw my team mate perdy in sight and wanted to rub his nose in it but time ran out!! So much fun...and the best 10th ever lol...made up 15 positions!!! gr all!!!

Wow, these races are so much better when you actually join the grid Very tough work these GT monsters in the new game, i really felt like i was wrestling the Saleen around the track for non stop 40 minutes, finished the race sweating like a loon and with a stiff neck. Found it tough going, getting a clean lap in qually with so many cars on this tight track, couldnt match my pb but was okay with my start point. Had great race with Paul Richards in his Lambo for about 30 minutes always tucked within a second or so behind him, and a couple of cars just up ahead of him made for some good racing for a long time. Inevitably the rear tyres started to go off and i eventually fell back a little, especially when caught by the rapid Radius and a recovering Martin S in his Mazza. Kept plugging away despite rear tyre temps of 220kpa and then got past Madd rip, who had been off, with about 2 laps to go and brought the car home 13th? I love driving the Saleen and it sounds awesome but it just cant compete with the Lambos and Fezza's around this sort of track. Brilliant racing all in all, enjoyed that.

What a race got P3 in qual which I was a bit surprised, I thought the pace would have been quicker judging by the qualifying lap times of the endurance races so was well chuffed At the start of the race had real problems getting heat in my front tyres I went with mediums which I think was a mistake as it was just under steering for the first ten or so laps till I got some heat into them all this time Paul968 was trying to pass but I just held on. once they were warmed up i started to catch the leaders then Jon Moore came off and I Managed to catch Ruskus but had Paul968 right behind me so I was having to go defensive. I think I was a bit to cautious when trying to pass Ruskus but I didn't want to cause a accident by stuffing it up the inside under braking as I just didn't feel confident under braking. Then on the second to last lap I just went wide and put a tyre on the gravel which gave Paul968 the chance to pass Grats good race

Decent 6th qually position and 4th in race for me. I didn't match my PB but pressure and track full of cars did their job slowing me down. I prepared my race setup carefully (yet was not satisfied with springs and dampers). Seems to me that high anti-roll bars settings was the key to keep tires on my F550 last the race. By the way - I put meds all the way (thinking everyone else did ) Just 3-4 laps after the race start I got overtaken and dropped one place. Midrace climbed up to 4th, being +8s behind third and 12minutes to the race end. To my surprise I managed catch up with the leading three drivers, and finally claim third position after a driver's fault. Funny I didn't notice any tire wear at all and managed to do some persistent 1.30.xxx all over the race. I even checked in MOTEC is my tire performance was any different between the first and last laps - but to my surprise they were identical! What a setup Unfortunately, just 2 laps before the race end I made a mistake that could have resulted with some serious car damage. Even then I was able to catch up with the lead. If only race lasted 1-2 laps more........ Great race everyone. Keep the level high! Can't wait for the results to see how my team-mates performed. FORZA 28CD!
