WICKED RACE!   Smiley

glad to finally have a bit of pace for a change....and almost no mistakes....only 2 spins lol !

Quali'd 5th which was a suprise, ahead of some faster teammates too!  Tongue

Started a comfortable 5th with pedro behind for half a dozen laps, then i had a mistake. And had locutos behind me whole race with pablo!

When spinning i stopped in middle of road (obviously couldn't help that) so i just stayed still cos i knew baracus and locutos where right behind. Sorry lads!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Grats to R24-7, all in top 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   (despite my best efforts to take pablo and baracus out??!   Huh)

ps. and well done Rad! coming from the back with this standard of driving is tough! i slowed down for u to catch  Wink

That was the best race I've had in a long time  Smiley Wasn't expecting to get in so did no prep, but had a fantastic battle with James for much of the time, plus a great end as I almost managed to sneak past Ruskus on the line (50/1000s of a second!). Sorry to see Jon retire (you caught me out stopping like that m8). Really enjoying the GTs in GTR2, as they don't have that knife edge feeling out of the slow corners.

20 Finishers too, which is pretty good for a GT race, and only 2 got lapped. Great standard of driving  Cool

I just kept getting the blue flag

There is a bug, carried over from GTR 1, where you get blue flag reports for no good reason, even on our pace laps! From my experience they usually occur at the same one or 2 places each lap and generally go away after the first few laps.

This seemed a bit different mate, Where I went off I think it must've been near a section timer and I don't know if I missed it or something. I lost prolly about 5 secs going off but was a lap down on the rest of the field when I rejoined the track. At first I thought it was a bug but as the race went on It became obvious that It was something more.
Just gonna check the replay and see what it looks like on there
Sorry to see Jon retire (you caught me out stopping like that m8).
Yeah sorry mate I'd been gettin the blue flag and decided to pull over. Should've done it somewhere more appropriate.

GTR 1 used to miss the timing point at Monza at the second chicane. You could drive round it by going through the kitty litter and then had to do another whole lap for the timer to see you. Perhaps, as you say, Valancia contains a similar feature

Yeah looks that way mate. Just checked the replay and after my off everytime a car went through there my position dropped a place. I guess I'll know for next time Wink

Looking in the race exports, your 10th lap took 3:05. Probably 2 complete laps plus ~5 seconds lost for your off. Bad luck Jon.  Sad

With this problem and the grid bug maybe we shouldn't use Valencia for any more championship races until (or if) a patch fixes it.

Hi I think I must have been missed as well cos on second I was say 4 secs behind car in front ,then it was much more also the gap altered by about 20 secs in around 4. Can understand that if ones goes off, but I was heading down the straight at the time. cheers gerald. ps Part of being a top driver is to arrange passing slower cars in a convienient place not barging into them.

Could they have been in the pits?

Its possible dave but have looked at the lap chart and it seems not. This was instant like 8 secs then 20 then 4 then 34. I thought someone was off the track thats makes you catch them quick. But it jumped forward as well. Also I had no time display a few seconds just a dotted line . cheers gerald ps my set up for gt was crap have tried one of team shark and knocked 1 sec off my best race lap easy. So must try harder to set car up next time . cheers gerald

That usually happens when the person behind has just been (or the person ahead is just about to be) lapped. It really doesn't cope very well with that!

In GTR and in GTR2 I've had a problem where your postion would change to another players. If you were 4th it'd read 7th for some reason and you would also get that persons time differences to the cars in 6th and 8th but it normally only lasts for 10 secs or so then slips back to normal but can be confusing.
