TBH David I was astonished to see you using the BT7  Shocked

Yes, if in the racepost a handicap had been given, but sincerely - do you think it would have changed anything?

I would love to see enough driver in S38 65s - so we can race 2 leveled grids!

Congratulations to Alex, Axel & Andreas!  Seems your first name needed to start with the letter 'A' to cop a podium here.  Smiley

Great fun dashing about Rouen in my BT7.  Short on power, the best I could hope for was to tag along looking for a break and some slipstream fun.  In that, I got it in spades.

Not to worry about the shunt, Phil.  Poo happens.  After the collision, I just decided to shut down and watch the fun for the rest.

I do hope that nobody is listening to you and I wonder how the real Mercedes brakes would have lasted if they had been abused in the way that, say, GPL67 brakes are misused.  Roll Eyes

Just leave 55mod alone and I hope that the 1937mod that I have heard of is configured along the same lines.   Angry

You can do what you like with 65mod.  Roll Eyes

The thing about the brakes in 55mod is not that the brake fade is acurate or not.  What they have achieved is to pitch it at such a level that it makes sure that you have to drive them in a particular way.  That way is more of a strict "Jim Russell driving School" approach where you brake in a straight line and then turn in.  And you don't use the brakes as a steering aid.

All the other mods that I have tried are much the same but with different power and grip levels, dressed up in different graphics.  If you are quick in a 67mod car then you can be quick in any of them.

Thankfully, 55mod is different, so keep your hands off, you have enough to play with!   Tongue

I don't care if Axel, Alessandro and Martin only want to race 55mod at Spa in Lancias and Mercs, it gives the rest of us a fighting chance over the season.  That circuit is popular with those who do not get on well with 55mod simply because you can drive it as though it were a 67mod car and not be penalised.

Rant over.   Grin

Clive you misunderstood, the brakes were lousy in 1955, but they did not fade such horrible.
AND the cars with disk brakes had a big advantage in RL!

I 'll have to drive the BT7 in the mixed open wheel championship, its my only possibility for 65's ...
so I considered this race as a training.

Don't think you've seen me at Spa in a '55.  Getting it real is what matters to this Modder.  An important factor in other Gpl cars lumped together as rather similar, is the lump in the rear.  The f2 motor was small and light, while the Can-Am was large and heavy.  That makes a big difference in their behaviour, which it helps to understand.  'Vivre la difference,' - provided it's true to life. Cool
