Practice: 20:00 (30 mins)
Qual: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 (30 mins)

Cars allowed: the new GT2 class:
AUDI R8 LMS GT2 2019
PORSCHE 911 GT2 RS CLUBSPORT

Circuit: Brands Hatch GP

Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing start
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: none required

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I see that this race is standing start as opposed to the usual Sunday rolling start. Might it be an idea to test out the rolling start procedure introduced in the recent update.

Congrats on the win John, well driven.

Really enjoyed the Audi & Brands GP, chased John for most of the race, never more than a couple of seconds between us. Got on his tail with around 5 laps left when John & Bill had a misunderstanding, only to spin at Sheene on the next lap. Fortunately had enough time in hand to hold on to 2nd place.

Well done John and Geoff, no chance I was matching your pace last night. I felt guilty holding Mark up the majority of the race but enjoyed the battle, we swapped places a couple of times due to mistakes but otherwise passing was tough as Brands Hatch is tight and it's hard to race close in such fast cars which helped me stay in front.

I've never been very good in mid or rear engined cars and bought a lot of the Porsches last year with the intention of getting better but never got around to it. As much as I felt I was constantly hanging on driving the Porsche I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

i found these cars less grippy than the GT3's, and less forgiving. I may use these for a series later in the year, what are peoples thoughts on using them?

Fine with me. I haven't tried the Porsche, even though I bought it a while ago, but the Audi is good fun.
