BMW M4
Audi RS5

Circuit: Spa
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Start: Standing start
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.
(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Just thought I would give the Audi a quick run around Spa, as I had only driven these briefly when RaceRoom were running a leaderboard event before they were released. Got on quite well with it, as long as I was careful on the throttle out of the slow corners & was quite chuffed with a lap of 2.09.1. Then I looked at the leaderboard for these at Spa, OMG, 2.02!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the drawing board I guess. Roll Eyes

Same question I asked to Matt for the Thursday race, will jump starts be implemented for this race?

We will use the same settings as Thursday night  "Prevent false starts" is set to "no" so take care not to jump the start

 I will update the thread

just noticed we will be racing DTM cars at Spa twice this week (albeit from different era's)! looking forward to phspok's warm up event tonight  Grin

Well.. I was more thinking about the other way, running the same type of cars may get a bit 'samey'

Can you set up the practise server so it doesnt have such a long race session and so you cant join it and do any practise!

There is someone in the server, in a the race session

Hard luck Geoff, another race that could have gone either way.

I chased Geoff for most of the race, his Audi seemed stronger in the slow corners but over a lap there was nothing in it and the gap remained 1.5s for most of the race.

Once I got within a second the slipstream helped me close up and I was able to get through. I made two mistakes - both oversteery moments out of the last chicane. The first time Geoff got back through and the second he closed right up forcing me to defend onto the last lap. Unfortunately Geoff then spun when tucked up behind me at the end of the straight. I was pleased not to have any spins and enjoyed a good, hard race.

It was a shame Frex started at the back as he seemed to have the best pace of all. I was conscious of him closing a couple of times but then seemed to drop back on ocassions allowing me and Geoff the buffer to keep battling.

Well done  clap

Had terrible trouble taking the last chicane, only managed it in first gear at a slow pace. As in Thursday’s race tyre wear was high and with about 3 minutes to go all tyre wear indicators were flashing red! I kept going but unlike Thursday the car went straight across the last chicane and into the wall killing my engine. Other than that it was an exciting race on full throttle through the first chicane and the left hander before the last chicane. Look forward to racing these again. Grin
