Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 2315s

Eddie Meyer comes round the penultimate corner and hits Chunky who has spun. Eddie spins off to the inside, and attempts to rejoin. Unfortunately he gets too much wheelspin and the car spins again on the grass. Eddie then uses the momentum to get the car back on track. He rejoins at 90 degrees to the track and is hit by Martin as a result, who loses a place.

Although Eddie was having trouble rejoining, doing so at 90 degrees to the track is a big no-no, especially on a blind corner. It is vital to attempt to rejoin at a gentle angle to make sure you stay out of the way of approaching cars, even if this means that you lose more time. I have reduced the penalty by 1 place because of the problems Eddie was having rejoining.

  • Eddie Meyerpenalty — Bad Rejoin — 2 places lost

I have done a bit of practice off line and have got a qual setup just about ready. Got a 2.01.4 in my ballasted 360 GTC. Going to do a bit of prep for a race setup tonight and hopefully I will get a reserve spot for tomorrow's race. I have found though I am eating tyres in qual with softs. Can do about 3-4 laps max before all four hit 100+ degrees. Hopefully the race setup wont be as bad!

Got my G25 on Friday last week so still getting used to that a bit although I am at least up to the times I was getting previously with my old wheel (MS Sidewinder without FF). I would have got in more practice over the weekend but had to modify the desk to get it to fit properly. Not due to the design of the G25 but because I have a real old school desk. The metal frame is right up to the edge of the wood so had no chance getting the shifter unit over them both! Liking it so far. I had the 5 degree left off centre problem initially but fixed that using the solution on the logitech site. If anyone else would like it posted then I will stick a topic in the GTR2 board if there is not one there already.

I drove 5 laps yesterday with default F360 GTC setting and 2.01.xxx was easy - on medium tires. I guess going below 2.00 on qualy is perfectly possible. I just hope to find some time and prepare a proper setup today.

Unfortunately yesterday evening my brother decided to crash brake into someone's trunk and I had to do 150 miles to get him home from Berlin Sad

I've not managed better than a mid-2:03. Brno has always been a bit of a bogey track for me, I never seem to find a decent rhythm here or set the car up so it isn't sliding all the time. Undecided
