Moderator's Report

There was a problem during the final lap which caused the server to lose track of Merlinthepike and Gomes Silva whilst they took the chequered flag. The results have been adjusted to show Merlin 5th, Gomes 6th, and Locutos 7th.

Server replay time: 458s

Ossie is following Cej very closely up the hill towards 12. Cej begins braking and moving towards the apex but Ossie brakes too late and runs into the back of him, putting Cej into the barriers and destroying his engine.

Whilst this is primarily Ossie's fault, especially as it was on the first lap, drivers must be aware that if they position themselves in the middle of the track at the beginning of a braking zone, they greatly increase the chances of the driver behind running into them if they make a mistake or simply underestimate how early the driver in front will brake.

  • cej (ce)advice — try to avoid starting to brake in the middle of the track
  • ossie (Ossie)penalty — rear ending Cej on lap 1 (reduced slightly) — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 485s

Chunky brakes far too late for turn 1 and bodyslams JonBall, putting them both into the gravel.

  • Chunkypenalty — contact with JonBall — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 3462s

This starts with the leader lapping Dangerman as he comes out of the final turn, allowing Reign Man's TVR to close on and then get alongside the former's Porsche.

Dangerman moves right but is then squeezed back to the left by Reign Man, who makes contact with him in the process. This contact is uncesessary.

Reign Man then brakes slighty later for turn 1 and is half a car length ahead as they turn in. RM doesn't quite stay tight to the curb and Dangerman makes light contact as he turns in, but I regard that as a racing incident.

However, Dangerman then tries to take the line again despite the fact that the TVR is half a car length further ahead and within a car's width of the inside curb, and bounces off him into the gravel.

Dangerman was of the opinion that he was entitled to the corner because he turned in earler. Wrong, I'm afraid. The TVR was further ahead and had the inside line. To try it once could be regarded as a racing incident; to do it again (and take yourself off in the process) is foolishness. The replay doesn't leave much room for doubt.

I have everything I can set to manual - I don't trust computers, spent too many years working with the infernal things for that!

Well quite a bad race for me, CTD in qualli started from the rear of the grid. Drove my way up through the field to around 10th when  censored it did it again and I slammed the tyre wall causing front end damage. I limped back round to pits to get repaired and fuel up, but could only get enough in to do "most" of the race forcing me to do a splash & dash later in the race. Eventually got back up to 10th place but all that took its toll on the car and the engine let go in a quite spectacular fashion on the S/F straight with 9 mins to go. Replay should be worth a look if only for that  Grin

Well everything went fine for me,for a change!  Grin ,had got quite abit of practise in NGT sprint on Tuesday and had quite a nice setup.
Was able to qually 1st and stay there for the whole race, didnt have any great battles or bumper to bumper racing with anyone which is a shame really but it was a good and deserved win.
Nice to finish this race!shame I didnt finsh at Valencia as I would probably be alot closer to Gizmo....Shame Im gonna miss the next race aswell as Im going over to England for the weekend  :'(

Not a bad race for me, i was ok on pace, able to hold off Adam until he must have spun and gave me a breather, but i spun also a few laps later and he was able to get past me.

It went down hill from there. Had an awful pit stop. Something went wrong with my accelerate button on my joystick as i was approaching the pit so i took the last few corners at a much slower pace.

Add to that, that i actually forgot which keyboard key i assigned the ignition to so i was tapping the sodding keyboard for god knows how long to find the correct key  Undecided.

THEN, i kept tapping the wrong key to turn the engine back on!! Please don't ask me how!!

Rejoined the race in 18th, was able to catch dangerman after a few laps and took the opportunity to pass him while being lapped, was able to get a good run on the finishing straight behind the lapping car and get up the inside of him for turn 1. He was on the outside of me then he was gone, he was in the gravel when i checked my mirrors. I hope to god i didn't touch you Dangerman, i didn't notice any impact on my part but i will check the replay.

I think my connection may not have been 100% a few cars dissapeared and reapeared near me during the race which worried me to death, especially when they were lapping cars.

Other than the pit stop, not bad. I am going to practice them when i have time, if i had a good stop i am sure i would have been much close to Dave and Adam at the finish. Oh well i learnt this race and hopefully will do better in the next one.

Yep, I was too late on the brakes in T2, which left me to have a bit of a detour through the kitty litter.  Thankfully I didn't lose too much time and I was able to close in on you again.

Think I had too much rear wing, I didn't have the speed advantage down the straights I was expecting.

Although I was pleased to get past you after the spin, it was a shame as we'd been having a helluva tussle, I just wasn't quite close enough to force past at any point.  Cracking racing though. thumbup1.

Yes, i enjoyed the first half of the race very much, i was able to take a position on the first lap and get up to pace really quickly. It seems i am able to go really well in the TVR on cold tyres as i did the same in the sprint race. Until of course i caught you Adam and spun. Doh!

Just need more consistency now....and to practice pit stops  Undecided
