Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 3074s

Leuven has spun in turn 12. He immediately shifts into reverse gear and starts to drive backwards to rejoin the race again. He fails to see Madd-RIP coming up the hill because of the elevation and drives back onto the track again. Madd-RIP is unable to avoid Leuven. This is a classic example of an unsafe rejoin. Leuven could better have tried to get parallel to the track and rejoin from there.

Madd-RIP asked not to give any penalties. Therefore I will enter the penalty for info only.

  • LEUVENpenalty — unsafe rejoin — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 4011s

Mark Jonzo and Bernie Lomax have been racing close together for a couple of laps. At turn 1 they get too close and contact follows, making Bernie Lomax go off into the gravel.

  • Racing incident

As the other guys have said great battle between Jonzo, Popobawa and Pribero early doors.
Tyres on the Bi-turbo didn't last very long to say the least!

My First race with F360 GTC. I must say I like the car although it sounds scary when it goes over 9000 RPM  Shocked. In the first stint I had to push to stay in front of Leuven who was following closely behind. In the last couple of laps before pitting I managed to open a gap of about 6 seconds so there I went to the pits for the first time in GTR2. Of course I forgot to turn off my engine and lost about 6 seconds there and I also realized it would have been better to start with full tank of fuel and only change tyres. I was sure Leuven will profit on this 2 mistakes from me but I just couldn't tell wheather he managed to overtake me or not so I assumed he was in front of me as I was 20 seconds behind someone. I was pushing 110% to close the gap and than I saw this guy in front is to quick to be the NGT car. So when I finally realized I'm the leader of my class I then try to focus on my fuel consumption. F360GTC is a rather funny car with no Motec information so I had no idea how much time is left. 1 lap before finish I got a call from the pits to go in next time and refuel but at the same time I had no idea wheather this is the last lap in the race or not. So comming out of the last corner and having only 1 liter of fuel I decided to go over the line and luckily the race was over otherwise I would have run out of fuel. That would have been disaster as I had a huge lead and could easily afford pitting.

Nice racing from all guys and also I had no problem with warping only one time when suddenly there was a GT car behind me trying to lap me. I always check my mirrors to see if someone is approaching and this time it was all quiet and the next second I had 2 GT cars in my rear mirror so I guess that was a small warp or something.  Huh

Mixed bag for me, obviously I'm happy with the result, i think 2nd place was the best one could achieve in the Viper, but i was never able to do the times i was pulling in practice although it was a good bit hotter in qualy and race. Decided to go for meds/hards which might have been a bit too conservative and screwed the balance of the car in the later parts of each stint, but i didn't dare to go for meds/meds in the 2nd stint. :-/

Still an enjoyable race, a nice little fight with Ruskus and a 2nd place, pity two of my teammates didn't even finish the pacelap.

I think that was me Matjaz. At first there was a frozen ghost of your car on the track, then you were up ahead by about 4secs(not totally sure this was you but I'll check replay later) and all of a sudden you appeared right in front of me. Dunno if it was you or me that had the warp/lag though. Didn't see any changes in the gap to the next car timer but It looks like  a few ppl had little probs so Undecided Prolly best to check the replay and see what was happening to others at same point.

After the sprint race on tuesday I tweaked my setup and it felt pretty good and I was able to just about keep in touch with Matjaz, for <20mins or so but then the tyres just seemed to gradually lose a lot of grip and I had to fight the car, so I decided to try and hold on best I could and then pit a lap early.
Forgetting to tell my team to get off their backsides and bring out the tyres a lap early, I ended up losing quite a bit of time aswell as any chance I might have had of keeping in touch with even a podium, nevermind Matjaz. Roll Eyes
Tried to look after the tyres a bit but it seemed to make the fronts worse so I decided to push but to no avail as the grip declined and I ended up with a pungture and a barrier for a front splitter/bumper. Angry
I did have a couple of occasions when Matjaz was stationary half way round a corner but was luckily not when I was close enough for it to have any effect.
congrats to winners, podiums and the rest as it was well deserved, especially in a viper too Martin  Shocked

Also, sorry Mad Ripp. I will take myself outside for a public flogging. Smiley

Oh sorry. I chose Filefront as it doesn't have a stupid counter. I normally have good speeds there (300kb/s). Next time I'll use megaupload again, or do you suggest a better one? I know some have problems with Rapidshare.
