Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 3074s

Leuven has spun in turn 12. He immediately shifts into reverse gear and starts to drive backwards to rejoin the race again. He fails to see Madd-RIP coming up the hill because of the elevation and drives back onto the track again. Madd-RIP is unable to avoid Leuven. This is a classic example of an unsafe rejoin. Leuven could better have tried to get parallel to the track and rejoin from there.

Madd-RIP asked not to give any penalties. Therefore I will enter the penalty for info only.

  • LEUVENpenalty — unsafe rejoin — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 4011s

Mark Jonzo and Bernie Lomax have been racing close together for a couple of laps. At turn 1 they get too close and contact follows, making Bernie Lomax go off into the gravel.

As I was missing out last endurance race due a broken pc, I will for this one as well :'(

It took the censored computershop a week to find out that the video card is death as what I expected it would be...
Got the machine now over here, but no video card yet. They wouldn't want to give me warrantee for an odd reason, but now I just have to wait till my new video card arrives.

Anyway one of the reserves is certain of a place.

I wanna race..... soooo badly.... Undecided

Qualified 6th just ahead of my team mate Greg. Think one of us had warp issues right from the start on the warm up lap as we had some door to door rubbing and a knock from behind which pushed me into Radius and I tapped him. Sorry for that! In the end one of us must have warped and Greg drove through me and into the barrier I went. Lost a wheel then tried to make it make to the pits but crashed again and knocked off the other front!

Greg had to retire as well. Oh well thats the first issue I have had with warping so not to worry! Hope you all had a good race.

Fed up of ruining my Sundays pretending to like GTR2, and so dropping out of the Endurance series.

Overblown testing sessions ain't my scene and can't put in the time to improve so someone else can take my place.

Big appologies to those caught up in my warping on the warm up lap.
It was really weird, I could see everyone just fine, all looked ok then cars started to crash in front of me, suddenly it dawned on me that it was probably warp and me crashing into them !  Obviously I pressed esc as soon as I realised what was happening.

Once again sorry guys, really mortified.  Might be best if I give srou a miss for a while as my connection seems really bad at the moment.

Good all round for me. Pole and then a win. I saw it looked like hotter than normal conditions before the race so put a bit more rear wing on to hopefully stop the back sliding around as much. It seemed to work as my Soft/Med combo lasted the 40min stint easy and prolly could've lasted another 10-15mins. A lapse in concentration on my in lap nearly cost  me as I went into a sand trap but It only lost me 3-4 secs and no damage was done so I went on my merry way Smiley 2nd stint was just a matter of looking after the car. Thanks again to the people being lapped you were great as always thumbup2
Grats to Matjaz and nice job to Martin for a good result in his Viper Cool

Sorry to hear there were so many problems for you guys - bummer Sad

I think that was just about my best race ever, Verti-GO-GO-GO!  Grin

I was a tad slower than the sprint race in qualifying but it didn't make much difference as I was so far behind TT, Shark, Matjaz & Leuven, awesome pace guys Cheesy

Had the best 40 mins I've ever had SimRacing with Bernie, PRibiero and Mark Jonzo as I desperately tried to hold them off as they picked me off one-by-one. I just about managed to hang onto the back of that group as everyone pitted and I was pretty sure I'd make the time up in the pits. Sure enough, whan I came out after the pitstop I was 4s or so behind Leuven who unluckily went off to give me an awesome 4th place, I'm well chuffed with that  thumbup2

An excellent 3rd for TT means very decent team points too... but I beat Jonzo, and that's the main thing  Wink

Great lapping by the GT's with a special mention to Radius who seemed to go past me at least 20 times!

I did notice you were warping a bit Greg, so I kept my distance! saw a few warping cars tonight, I wonder if Simbins wonderful netcode is the culprit?? Roll Eyes
A particularly heinous race for me, off the pace (not really a surprise) had a bump, bit of understeer after that, kept annoying Shark, TT and many others by repeatedly re-lapping them..going off..re-lapping them.. talk about Deja vu. blink mind you the battles they were having looked fab  Grin
Driving like a 3 legged donkey atm, getting a bit sick of it. ban
Grats to podium btw. Grin

I qualified 2nd which was better than I hoped for.

I started the race with soft/meds and 100L of fuel. The fronts were gone after 25 minutes, so I saw Luis gaining fast, with Martin right behind. I decided to pit a bit early, with 45 minutes to go. At that point I still had 35L of fuel. So in 35 minutes, I burned 65L. So that means:
Minutes raced: 35     Fuel used: 65
Minutes raced: 45    Fuel used: (45*65)/35= 83,5L.

So I thought, with the warmup lap, and 4L per lap, I'll have plenty enought with 90L of fuel. After my outlap there was only 40 minutes to go, so I thought I was well safe as I still had 87L. I also took meds allround to keep the car alive, and it did feel much better, temps were almost perfect.

With only a quarter to go I saw that fuel was getting tight, so I started shortshifting and trying to drive in economystyle. But that helped just about...nothing. So I had to do a pitstop for the last lap, as I didn't know if Jon would have to do another lap after that, as the time was still not over.
I have no idea why the fuelcalc is always so far off. I was pretty generous by thinking 4L per lap, but for some reason the Lambo decides to use 5L per lap Huh

Martin and I had some great moments, going side by side to T1, and further in teh race again going side by side through a few corners.

And please don't use headlights while racing. It's bloody annoying to see my dashboard light up and flash everytime you get close with headlights on. Only use headlights when necessary as described in the rules.

Phew, what a tough endurance race that was, but superb action for most of the entire race.  Cool

Had an excellent 4 car battle with Bernie, Pribeiro and Pops for about 45 minutes with us all glued to the back of each other and swapping place Great fun and great clean racing by all. I was all over people in the midfield but kept getting dropped by all on the straights as i was running too high a rear wing.
Was actually gutted when first Bernie, then Pribeiro a lot of laps later pulled into the pits for their stops as it meant the on track battle ended  :'(
Continued on for another handful of laps trying to keep the pesky Pops behind me in his swift little Vertigo (great driving Pops! Cool ) but my tyres were seriously shagged and i couldnt wait to pit for new boots as i was losing at least a second a lap. Sad
Stop took 52 secs in the box, and came out about 8 seconds behind Bernie and about 5 secs in front of Pribeiro so knew there was more action to come and i had to keep pushing.
I soon closed the gap right down on Bernie and we enjoyed another great battle for several laps with me literally glued to his rear bumper but i just didnt have the legs down the straights to draft past.
Unfortunately after yet another fight through turn 1 i caught Bernies rear quarter and it was just enough to send him wide onto the gravel, really sorry mate, it was totally un-intentional as i was really enjoying the scrap  Embarrassed
I then had to push hard to the line as Pribeiro had closed down on me again from the contact but i managed to pull out another 4-5 second gap and then couldnt believe my eyes when i saw Leuven stranded in the final turns  Shocked with only a few laps to go. Bad luck mate  Sad
Brought the car home in 5th NGT which wasnt bad  Undecided

Congrats to my teamies for some great driving and top work to Mathas and Jon M for their superb wins.  punk
