Finally had my pc fixed, not really had time to practise so drove rubbish times, but anyway I wanted to drive after 2 weeks so let's give it a go! Well it could've been more fun if there wasn't a big pile up at last corner at formation lap, where someone knocked my rear wing off, which gave a totally undrivable car, sad ending/beginning of my race

Well i hit the race button after qualifying, only to find that i wasn't starting from the grid - oh no. In fact, my time was so cr@p, that the server decided to let me start the race from the goddamn forest, behind the grandstand, with a load of 2D spectators. Nice. What a complete waste of time

Qually was quite interesting. I had a Brno setup but it wasn't too good. So I thought, what track goes clockwise and has long fast righthanders....Ahhh. Barcelona. So I loaded a Barca setup and I was immediatly quicker with that . My Q time was exactly the same as my Lambo time last sunday. The race was boring as hell. Jon and Claus were flying away in the distance, and I was slowly driving away from the people behind. I had t hotlap for 40 minutes at Brno, and my times were pathetic near the end. The car understeered so badly eventhouh the tyres held up (didn't hear a message and temp were fine). Grats to Claus and well done to Jon for taking 2nd place. I am quite happy with 3rd here, as I utterly hate this track. Just as much as Estoril . So bring on the proper tracks

Wasn't looking to forward to this one and took the Lambo. In the end I had a great time racing with CJ. He had the pace of me and got past after about 3 laps. Then it was a case of just trying to stay with him. I made a couple of small errors which wasn't to bad as I was pushing a fair bit but CJ's class told in his F575 and he extended his lead lap after lap. Really enjoyed trying to keep up. Nice race all. Grats to Ceejay on his Win

Stupid car, why do they have to put the steeringwheel on the wrong side. Touched the grass while braking for T1 and that ended all hopes for a good position. My race decent until then, qualified 4th, which was better then i had hoped. Struggled to keep the 550s of Paul and Baracus behind, but they both made mistakes and i was starting to catch Ruskus again with 10mins to go. Fought hard to catch FreQ and an overambitious move saw us both spinning (Sry ;-)). Didn't cost either of us any positions and with Baracus going off in the last corners i came home 7th.
I guess after 2 faultless races i just had to screw up this time. :-/
See you all in Belgium :-)

Sorry to here of discos and forest trips. Complete pig when that happens. Feel for ya. My debut was one to forget. Chose the Saleen for variety and it felt heavier than I remember, but some setup tweaks and I soon had it going round the bends all right. Quallied exactly where I expected in the pecking order (I think 11th or 12th?) and what a plonker I am. Somehow I had got Softs selected. Now the Saleen needed a lot of fuel and it's heavy anyway, so race and softs = . they lasted all of 5 laps before it was handling like a large peice of grated cheese . Seeing my wear rate at stupid levels I knew I had selected softs and just couldn't go that pace with such hot and worn tyres so early on and promptly spun it out of the 3rd gear right hander at the bottom of the hill and smacked hard into the barrier. This broke my front end and gave me a puncture. Had to limp round to the pits whilst the whole field passes me. Got repaired and new MEDIUM tyres from my slippery when wet pit crew and off I went nearly 40 seconds behind the next man. I'm not a quitter and refused to finish last so I pushed the Saleen as hard as I could to chase down the next man and close the 40 second gap with 26 or so minutes left. With about 5 minutes left I caught and overtook him. At the same time CJ and Jon were slowly coming up to lap me. They were faster than me but not so fast that they would just breeze by so I let CJ through on the straight and when Jon was close enough and I made an error I chose that time to let him by easy toon not wanting to mess with their race. Was catching Gerald but not enough time left and ended 1 lap down to CJ and Jon. Was worth carrying on just to make sure I wasn't last of the finishers and also get more time in a GT car. I think next week I'll take the MC12 as although the Saleen was ok, was a bit heavy for my liking, I prefer something that needs slightly less man handling. Well done CJ, Jon and Jeff on the podium, excellent speed as usual.

Just had my first ever UKGTR race - man what a blast despite running last. Had no clue on what settings to run so I showed up on the grid with 500rpm less power and rock hard rubber. Clearly erred on the conservative side... Some network questions on warping - I noticed cars could disappear for a split second at times ahead of me - definitely worse. Also.. I get the 'sychronising track' message every 5 laps or so.. is this normal? I'm on a 8mb adsl connection, connected wirelessly though and ISDN set in-game as suggested. Seems odd cos the connection is otherwise rock solid in r-factor Anyway.. what a blast! - Glad to have been your moving target Simon!!! - Bring on the next round!

Ah! Yes you kept dissapearing. You have to race wired as GTR is very picky about wireless. Others have had the same problem and only cure is to race wired as wireless will just keep cutting out like you describe.

I'm soo chuffed, 6th in first race! *beam* Honestly not a problem Martin - it was a tiny love-tap racing incident, we only lost a couple of seconds. Awesome racing with Leuven, very close and fair. Tyres were very worn by the end, but were'nt overheating and had a bit of fuel left too....I'll never get the fuel load right I'm looking forward to the next Enduro/sprint already. : Well i hit the race button after qualifying, only to find that i wasn't starting from the grid - oh no. I know I should fell awful about this Will, but your post there had me in stiches when I read it! Classic!

Another race where i end up qually and racing slower than any previous offline or online praccy session..i am perplexed Still, i outquallied TT for once and was tucked just behind Shark until Aagramn pipped me at the end for 12th. Put meds all round on the Saleen for the race and instantly got more understeer than i had with the setup using softs. Kept up with the top 10 in front of me for quite a few laps hoping shark and aag would tangle and get me through as i was hanging onto their shirt tails. Then saw Shark lose the back end and wind up facing the wrong way on track So upto 10th and feeling good. Stayed like that for ages until i got caught by Pedro in his Lambo who went by me like i had parked Then to add insult to injury with only about 2 minutes left on the clock i got mugged by another pretty boy Lambo driven by Locotus who also caught and flew by me while i struggled with now-serious understeer and he nicked my hard earned 11th place :'( By race end my laps had dropped by 2+ seconds a lap Got no worn tyre warrnings and temps stayed near perfect the whole race with around 195kpa fronts and 203 rears. Perhaps i should have chanced soft fronts as i seem to constantly struggle with understeer using medium fronts. Shame as the car had felt great in practise where i had been able to set regular 1:53's. Well done to the winner.

and had a bit of fuel left too....I'll never get the fuel load right Same here. After last fueldisaster I loaded up maximum fuel. But the 550 isn't as thirsty as the Lambo, so I finished with 25L of fuel, enough for 7-8 laps
