yay  Grin managed to finish a race for once with out crashing, its been a journey of rebuilding my PC around 5-6 times and including buying a new motherboard/processor thinking the one I had bought at Christmas was broken and wouldn't boot, it all came down to a doggy sata cable in the end!!! so I have a second hand new hardly used gigabyte x570 aorus pro £150 and a rysen 7 3700x for £200 if any body is interested?

interesting race I wasn't taking it too seriously as I was really testing my rig to see if it was OK. seems like a few too the hard tires. had a good time racing with Toni very close but he went off 2 laps from the end and gave me forth which I was please with. not raced at this track before so took a bit of getting used to but all in all a good day for me.

if you are interested in those bits  email me on [email protected]

Cheers

One of those successful but lonely races, the Audi seeming to be particularly good here, especially accelerating out of the slower corners. Shame Massimo had some problem at the end of qualifying & had to start at the back, he had the speed to give me a few problems I think. Good drive from him to get 2nd place & also from Frex in 3rd.  clap clap

Does anyone have an actual driveable setup for the BMW?.

Sorry, did not have a setup until shortly before racetime, but I can post it now if you want to try it out? I am really enjoying the BMW - not possible to tame it completely, but it's a lot of slidey fun at the right track.

Poor start, but a lot of good fun in the race, first with Leonardo, later with Massimo in their Mercs. Sorry to see Pete suddenly disappear again, this time on the opening lap - did the game quit on you again? Congrats Geoff and Massimo.

A different computer issue this time  Roll Eyes Coming out of T1 a VR menu pop-up thing appear blocking 80% of my view. In trying to clear that I also managed to quit the game  Cry I think it was the menu you can get click a button on the VR controllers, but these were both off. No idea why it came up, never done that before. Pity as I had a good start it would have been a fun race with quicker drivers behind me trying to get passed.

At least next week is crocheting week so I can calm down before my next race.

Spanner sorry about me being stationary at the start but couldn’t get the engine fired up in time!

That's OK Bill, I wasnt going to last long as i hadnt put fuel in it and the handling seems vastly different from the few laps i got in till then. You have to start the engine? That doesnt sound right!

Earlier in the week i decided to delete my graphics setting file and moved the install to my main SSD as it was still on the spinny hard drive. However I hadnt anticipated that it would not see all my settings folder and keep creating a new one. As time was running out i just set up the main controls and jumped in with the sounds well off, assists on, driving line etc and had to juggle both car setup and FFB/sound/graphics/ UI settings. So admittedly i only did a couple of out laps. Bill being stationary didnt help as i spun the car into the wall and the car felt horrible and then saw i still had the default fuel in.

Was only afterwards i realised i just needed to change the text file to point at the new folder location.

Bill, do you have keys/buttons mapped for the ignition & starter? If so delete them, the engine will start automatically then.

Thanks Geoff, will try that later. Had no problems when we could start the engine before the starting sequence commenced!  Wink

unfortunately the misfortune of the crash in qualifica made me leave the server .. but I managed to get back on the fly! on the race pace I was prepared I knew that the audi was faster having tried it but the mercedes wore less tires .. I had fun at the end with many battles in the group and the one for second place! congratulations to geoff and frex  Wink
