Great pace at Barcelona yesterday with the Dallara F3. I felt very comfortable with the car during the whole session and didn't seem to have the struggles that others were having with the car. Thus, building up confidence and pace. With a mid 37s in qualy I went on pole and to win the first race. The reversed grid for starting the 2nd race ( https://youtu.be/dkIKmOH22ag) pushed me back to P8 which promised to make this race far more interesting and challenging. I had a good start but by T1 we were too close to risk contact so lifted and waited for a better opportunity later in the race. I saw everyone struggling with grip and being snapped by the Dallara, perhaps due to rather aggressive driving? I seemed to be yesterday naturally coupled with the machine as everything was flowing nicely. Mark was opening a gap upfront and I started to push harder from L2. And after another moment on T5 for Mark, I took the lead till the end. It was a bit awkward to have that great feeling with the car and pace. I wished it was always like that in simracing... The Porsche Cayman GT4 is at the other end of the spectrum for me and keeping things real about how difficult this can be sometimes. I look forward to the next race at Thruxton where, most likely, things will get back to normality. Congrats to the podium and see you in the next race. Jos Ogos

Great pace from Jos indeed. Finally i entered my first Assetto Corsa online events. At the qualifying everything was OK, as i made 3 in a row great laps, beating my PB twice and unfortunately my fuel run out at the final corner of the third hot lap. But unfortunately this was enough only for P3. The start of Race 1 was OK and i won 1 position away from Geoff Eacott. But a semi-mistake later gave him the opportunity to take back the position. I was lucky because the two drivers around me made a mistakes, and i was now comfortably in P2, but Jos was far away now. Race two was even more interesting with the reverse grid. The start was not so good as i almost collided with one of the drivers at the start. Little by little i was able to take positions but this was because the drivers ahead of me were making mistakes. It was so tough to overtake, because the grip behind cars was limited. At the end i was now in P3 chasing Stefan but he was driving great and without any mistakes, so it was P3 for me in Race 2. Congrats to Jos for the great two wins and performance. Race replay with camera and commentary: https://youtu.be/iTL3drrxZPo

Really enjoyed these cars, lots of grip & very fast in the corners. Only trouble was the car not liking the kerbs very much making it very easy to make a mistake. Pleased with my qualifying pace, much faster than I had been in testing, Jos though was that much faster again. First race started well but lost a place to Dimitar early on lap 1, regained it however a lap or so later when he made a small mistake. Was then my turn to make a mistake & another & another, in the end fortunate to finish 3rd when others all fell off. Second race again started well & got up to 2nd in the early laps. Jos outbrake me into La Caixa but managed to stay with him for a couple of laps before the mistakes again crept in. Lost count of how many times I spun it, suffice to say I came home 5th & last finisher. Congrats to Jos on two excellent wins & to Dimitar & Stefan on the podiums. Already tried a few laps at Thruxton and it is a much easier track to drive. In fact apart from the chicane & the Campbell/Cobb/Seagrave complex it is flat out all the way around.

Good to see a decent turn out and enthusiasm for the new F3 series. I was able to keep up with others and have some close racing. Unfortunately the button to go to the grid for the second race was greyed out for me (initially I thought I had lost internet connection but I could hear all the other cars roar away from the start line when the lights went out). I disconnected from the server and it let me back in, so I joined the race a few laps down and got some practice in (and some points for finishing down the order!)

As soon as red start lights came on was given a drive through and dumped to desktop, not the first time this has happened on a Sunday but after a clean install of AC thought things would be OK. Will glean the forums for solution and try again next week.

This was the fastest lap (1:37.640) during the qualy at Barcelona with the dallara F317. A bit more the artifact of luck than precision. Interesting to see that keeping the car on the right track after a moment can deliver some gains on your lap times... https://youtu.be/CZmiNZoAJlk

Two fun races with these open wheelers. I only did 3 installation laps earlier this week and thought I would improve the setup during qually as I had no more chance to practice.
Unfortunately qually went down the drain as my wheel settings were gone after switching from Content Manager to Kunos UI and back. Luckely the default setup is not that bad. So R1 starting from the back and noticing I needed to change tire pressures and final drive for Race 2.
The better start position for the second heat made sure I was in good company and fighting for positions during the whole race. Good fun and you seem to be able to run quite close to each other dispite the big wings. Looking forward to the next race. Oh, and nice race report Dimitar!

Interesting video Jos, But it always looks easy for the quick guys! If my car behaved like that i'm sure I could drive that quick! In every braking zone I was losing the rear slightly on downshift, I was trying to fight the battle between understeer and oversteer constantly.
