The Bristish GT Championship comes to Combe on the 25/26 so for a bit of fun lets have a race there Smiley

Date: Friday 24th June
Time: Practice at 8PM (Set to one hour), Qualify2 at 8:30-9PM (Depending on Numbers/Votes)
Cars Allowed: No restrictions
Track: Castle Combe
Session Length: 20mins Qualify, 30mins Race
Server: Picnic server will be used.

This is really for a bit of fun, the track is not true to the current layout as it is pre-chicanes Sad However it is a fast track with a couple of tricky bits Smiley Hoping to beat the times I did in my car  Grin

Download the track from http://www.zerohomepage.de/db/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=40

[Edit - changed download link as previous one was broken]

I presume this is the one I've already got - correct apart from not having the modern track's chicanes?

It's the only version I have found so far so I believe the answer is yes.

I'm not familiar with the track at all, so I'll be joining if I have time to get it semi-learned

This is a fun track - really good for racing IMO. There are several corners that take a lot of skill to get right and may compromise your exit if got wrong, and then decent straights afterwards to make the pass. There is also plenty of room.

Did a few laps in the Vertigo with a best of 57.8, and then in the Vette with 53.4.

Might be tempted to race after my reinstall seems to have cured my online probs last night - still gutted to miss out on that  Sad

The server will be called
UKGTR - Picnic
and you can find it in the GTR game lobby
usual pass as stated above Smiley

Ive had a crack on this track today and it is short and quite wide, so nice 1 to learn on, but if you have come from GPL, you should be ok as you now have this nice wing  think on the car to keep you stuck to the floor Grin

Infact I might dig out GPL to see what its like to go back Grin

Less yapping and more lapping!

That 1st chicane is a tricky devil eh?

Lapping sub-minutes in the 911 GT3 so I'm feeling safe enough to join in I think.

Pops.
