Moderator's Report

Congratulations to Pete Bennett on winning his first UKGPL race.

Server replay time: 0h08m52s

Lap 5 Francesco Molteni and Leo Galán Barlo

Leo has recovered from a spin and is returning to race speed on the side of the track. Francesco overtakes Leo and cuts across too early, making contact. Francesco had a lot of track to use and a higher speed to easily pass Leo. Both cars could continue. Leo did nothing wrong.

Server replay time: 0h32m30s

Lap 17 Dave Curtis and Paul Villiers

Dave has been following Paul for a while, but is caught out when Paul is slow into a corner and rear-ends him. Both cars can continue. Paul has asked that no penalty is applied.

Go Pete!  A new track to defeat using arms and feet, to tackle it's curvaceous complexity.  I'd read somewhere, the fastest way around a corner is to straight line it, but couldn't get a laptime.  It took some laps to find the road of least resistance.

After some laps, I found myself hounding the tail of a fellow Ferrari.  His high speed, immoveable red object told me, this must be the Canadian frere of Monsieur Prost,   For half the race, I'd the ability to draw alongside, but not enough to safely pass, 'The Professor.' Cool

Our battle concluded towards the finish, when I selected a boxfull odf neutrals, at a hairpin.  Rubber and race fatigue had set in, caused by lying awake at night, worrying about finding a boxfull of neutrals, midstream.  None-the-less, great fun on an entertaining track!

An apology to Francesco, for causing your detour after my mistake.  I've no team radio, or Pribluda to see you are coming.  These are not realistic addons, but the mistake was real.

Well done Pete  thumbup1

The BT7 is a much underrated car IMHO. With a comfortable setup it handles corners with complete indifference and as long as you keep the screamer of an engine in the sweet spot ( using all 6 gears to the max) it will fly.

BTW Looking to the future ...........with laptimes like that Pete you will be competing in the Pro races soon  Wink

Truly incomprehensible decision on my accident.I should point out that my car, at the time of the collision, was more than half the length of my opponent's car. So the definition side by side collision is inappropriate.
