Hi Philppe

I don't think the core ini makes much sense, as all the device settings of a pc are in there. size of monitor etc.

2 solutions:

look for this line and change the value  in steps down to 96000

[ Replay ]
replayMemoryOverride = 192000

other rumor at SRMZ was about a W10 update that caused freezes

but my core looks:
Quote
[ Hack ]
steer_ratio= 0                                ; Speed sensitive steering ratio below 60 MPH
                     ; Allows sharper turns at low speeds.

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                      ; Use FF if device has it 0 = No *  1 = Yes
force_feedback_damping = 0                    ; force feedback damping coefficient - Default = 40.0
force_feedback_latency = 0                    ; force feedback latency (secs) - Default = 0.085   0.0040000
max_steering_torque = 420                     ; steering torque in N*in giving max device

Thanks Axel.

It seems less readable for Pribluda.

No, I see all clear and crisp, you can set the size and pixels in the pribluda.ini

My Pics are made on my office pc with high res, 2560 x 1440 so the font is smaller than on my race pc 2560 x 1080

As long we use openGLV2 rasterizer we will be affected by this issue. OGL can't write fonts so every letter is a picture...

Petteri Pajunnen (brr) made the Pribluda font tweaks, but he was not treated friendly by the mod team so he left GPL - imo the only person who could have solved our problems.

My perfectly running system does just a little flicker whenever some message is coming.
Stefan and Olaf Lehmann found an etreme way to kill the messages by overwriting the letters with blanks, but it was done in the german gpl.exe only - you need to hex edit...

This is exactly why we ( especially ME!!) need the WIKI resource lol.

I was guessing that the GPU would be the source of the problem, but I have not adjusted any settings recently  Undecided. AFAIK the GPU is running at the same levels that it always has, but I will dive into the settings and check it all out later today.

 The only thing that I have done recently is introduce GPLshift and I could not see how that would affect frame rates, but Phil's mention of adjustments to the GPL font size might be worth looking into??

Ironically I don't notice any drop when random chat messages are posted, unless it is the "Cookie disconnected"/" Phil connected" messages that pop up on the chat window that are the root cause??
I have In Car Chat Messages turned off and only see all the messages when I select the CHAT button and get the full chat page.

I've had a go at moving the post about the FPS discussion to a new topic. I then moved the topic to the UKGPL Announcements so the other drivers can see it. I've also added a link to the starter page

As you  turned off in game chat, you won't get it - but you can't kill the joining messages (in a normal way)
Yes you can make smallest letters possible so the pictures are smaller and the stutter is smaller. Easy to open gplshift.ini and edit!
