Championship Standings

Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Hi all,
I'm a bit more invested in R3E recently and have just installed the OtterHud that appears to be quite an improvement to the driving experience (even including a gadget similar to the Helicorsa app in AC). Were you aware of this? I think it could have a bit of an impact on performance but it looks quite impressive.

The other area I'm looking to improve is the FFB settings. Particularly with the DTMs 92 my current settings are not good. The Merc being virtually undrivable. Do you have any advice on this? Thanks.

Finally, I attempted to do the Watkins race with the Mer but, if possible, I'd like to change to the Audi for the Sonoma race as it seems to be more drivable for me. Is there any issue with that? Considering my none first race, hopefully this will be feasible?

You can drive any available car you want in any race Jos. There are no restrictions in these series.
Can't help with FFB, mine works well enough, and I am doing nothing special.

Thanks, Martin.
Perhaps you can tell me how much (%) of the force you have from the steering rack in the configuration settings. I think this is a parameter with a lot of influence on the overall feeling. Thanks.

Wow, those are some big pictures  Roll Eyes

There is a also a FFB multiplier in the car setup and a wheel rotation value. Both these also affect how the FFB feels.

Steering Rack should be 0% as per the devs. Also don't overdo it on the Slip Effect, if I had it higher than 5% I was getting a weird balloon-tyre sensation for the DTMs.

Thank you all. Very helpful.

I'll do some tests with your values.

All the best,

The only thing I know I change is the steering angle and lock. I don't think I have changed any of the FFB settings from default.

Don't give up on R3E Mike... yet. I think that by trying different settings you might get a better feel and car control...

Jos

Struggled for ages with ffb in Raceroom but seems better since I started using my new (to me) G25 instead of my old DFGT. Worth having a good read through this section and trying some settings as I get the feeling they differ wildly from wheel to wheel and have changed as game has been updated.

https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?forums/knowledge-base.129/

I've been trying the M3 around here and managed to get my ffb to the stage where I'm happy with it and can actually feel what's going on. Anyone set any race trim lap times yet?

Not that mine will be tough to beat.... but 2 laps in each and I get 1:20.3 in the Little Beemer, 1:19.8 in the Audi, and 1:19.4 in the Merc
The Audi is probably the easier to drive here. The Lill Beemer wants to go everywhere except where I want it to.  Roll Eyes

In which case, I'm still struggling. A couple of dozen laps in race trim and I'm at 1:23/1:24.....and Sonoma used to be one of my better tracks  Roll Eyes

Matt scratches head..... I will check, I could be mistaken  Roll Eyes

No, I am right. 2nd and last flying lap in the replay (there are only two) is a 1:19.2

Here are the setups, the one I was using I think was the short name "mercm1sonoma"
