I've basically given up on AC. The FFB just doesn't work properly on Logitech wheels, no matter what anyone says, except on certain cars after hours of tweaking.
R3E, however, is generally good. Only in this car, they recently changed the steering geometry, which seems to have reduced the forces a lot in low-speed cornering. This leads to a very floaty and imprecise feeling in and out of corners. If I counter this by increasing the car-specific gain, I get crazy rattling going over the kerbs.
i might be late to the party so apologise if all this has been said, but i have an issue with my G923.... i cannot change steering rotation angle ingame in the car setup menu....(no arrows to adjust value) so i am forced to changed GHub to match the car i want to drive..... probably obvious to everyone but what a revelation that was when i stopped driving everycar with 300 degrees set on the wheel Logitech software! Second thing that really worked for me was reducing the Force Feedback miniman force to 0% that helped with over all 'rattling' sure i still get it but not as bad but then my curb vibration is only 20% But i hear you this car is very 'glass' like but it is my first drive so not really qualified to comment only run about 20-30 laps

Interesting, with my old G29 wheel I find i was reducing the gain down to stop those peaks that set the gears ratttling but would then increase the minimum gain to try and compensate for the reduced feel especialy at low speed corners.
AC settings were ok, but gave you no chance to tweak it to how you wanted, but there are far more setting to help with that in Raceroom. But its interesting to see Matts settings quite different from where ive ended up. I would just change the steering rack forces % to see if i would get more through

Loving this track & car combo.
I'm averaging 1:42.9 in race trim. Can quite get under 1:40s in Qualy though.

i think i should be nicknamed 'plank' after a recent post with phspok so newbie 'plank' post alert apart from the obvious is there any difference on track between the V8, V10 or v12? they all seem blindingly quick.... gulp... i'll be honest I am quite scared for Thursday now Regarding setups for any car not just these beasts is the base setup good enough? - i mean if i was any good id be quick with a default setup so tinkering will not make me any quicker... right? So apart from basics like wing/downforce, brake bias setups, tyre pressure setups are very much a dark art for me but I have seen a couple of posts regarding race trim vs qualifying trim.... excuse my ignorance but do you guys run a qualifying and race setup for each car? Apart from the fuel level i dont change anything ...am i missing something? thank you

Can't say what the difference in the cars is, as I have only tried the V10.
Base setup is fine, most RRE cars have good default setups, tinkering can obviously make it more suitable for you, but equally it is quite easy to make the car worse.
Yes I do use race & qualifying setups, however they are basically the same. You can use soft tyres in qualifying but they do not last long enough to able to use them in the race, mediums work fine for the race. With the soft tyres you can probably use a little less aero and/or a more powerful engine map, at Silverstone the qually setup is around 2.5s faster I reckon.

For this track. I find the default setups to be faster, and no harder to drive than my own The V12 is a little easier perhaps because the power comes in at higher revs, the V10 is in the middle and the V8 has more mid range, which can be harder or not... You can see the power curves for the different models in the setup screen where the engine map is displayed.
I struggle more with the V10 as it seems to have a heavier back end, and want to swap ends into corners more than the others.
If you can't get on with the defaults, have a look at my (supposedly) easier to drive setups on the 1st page for this event.

I just do everything I can to tame the rear. Raise rear toe in, get the rear camber right (7-10 degrees inner to outer temp), tyre pressures, low ride height, soft springs, high downforce, raise diff settings, raise final drive. The thing I find most helpful is thinking about what Martin Brundle says about accelerating. "You have to think that there's an egg under the pedal that you don't want to break". Nice and easy on the power. Select a higher gear when you can to help reduce the wheelspin. Now I'm down to one serious tank slapper every two laps.

And results are spheroids. Steam was down earlier. And our GTL server restarted itself recently. Something amiss.
