Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 708s

Dave gets a good run on Ossie on the start-finsh straight, and gets a good overlap on the inside at Redgate. Ossie goes for the apex, failing to leave any room for the other car, resulting in some side-by-side contact.

Server replay time: 723s

After the previous incident, Dave is on the inside of Ossie going into the Craner curves. Ossie ignores the car beside him and goes for the apex, taking Dave off the track. This contact was particularly unnecessary as Ossie had a good sighting of the other car and had no reason to think he'd cleared Dave before reaching the corner.

  • ossie (OSSIE)penalty — Side-by-side contact. — 2 places lost

No racing for me, I never went online before, and just realized what kind of a struggle it is to get an online key here in Canada, so I doubt i'll  be joining you this week Sad

Well done podium guys. Very fast pace. Cool

I was doing alright for a while then I had my first spin and after that I was going well then spin, going well, then spin, going well, spin. Ended up throwing away all my pace and finishing behind Gizmo (the shame Wink)!

TC-65s are my least favorite cars as they're so slow it takes an age to get from one straight to the next so they can be very boring. 76s should be much more fun next week although I'm not a fan of Dijon.

Great fair fight Dave, you were faster than me Wink

I was going spare trying to find a way past; I had much more speed in the fast corners and at the end of the straights but you were wide enough and fast enough in all the right places and it was turning into an epic duel shame it ended with you in the pits, what happened, three cut tracks?

Qualy: Interesting session. Was still getting a feel for my new wheel here after the practice, but got a nice lap giving pole. With 5 mins left I thought it would be safe but can never count your chickens when Pero is on track - and as I changed to testing race fuel load he pinched pole! Smiley

Race: Great first few laps, eventually forced Pero to go too defensive into T1 and did the classic turn in later > accelarate earlier > cut iniside - which worked a treat. From then on it was just keeping my head down to the finish, with Pero at first only about 2 secs back but gap thankfully gradually rising once we got passed some traffic to about 6 seconds, it was tight all the way - great fun!

D'oh thought i got 5th place as Assassino had Disco'd before the finish  Huh...not that i wish any ill will on him  Embarrassed...apart from that over ambitious move down the craner curves where you dont overtake without contact/disaster  Sad..patience is a virtue and all that  Wink

Enjoyed the race, though the close action didnt materialise as i had hoped/expected, but then both times i got close in a battle (with assasino and Shark) i ran wide whilst stupidly watching my mirrors. They were my only two errors i made during the race and brought it home a steady 6th place  angel.

Dave G, shark and Ossie all kept me honest for the entire race length, staying within 2 - 6 seconds throughout, so there was no room for errors.  Cool

Not a bad turn out with 15 cars, though shame we cant get the 22+ grids like we used to (Perhaps an advert/post on no-grip or RSC GTL might attract more punters?) A few cars seem to retire really early too  Huh
Gutted to miss next weeks race with the 76'ers....another chrimbo doo Sad

RSC GTL might attract more punters?)

I've advertised on RSC recently actually. Don't think there are many people playing it. If you look at the lobby it looks more like the rFactor lobby nowadays than the old GTL lobby and definately not the hive of activity that the GTR2 lobby is.

In quali, I was pleased to grab third place on the grid. Donny Nat is one of those tracks that I just can't 'get' - loosing time in the chicane every lap.

Off the line I held position, and managed to follow Baracus and Pero through Craner Curves. Assasino seemed to run a bit wide at the old hairpin, leaving the three of us alone for a while.

Baracus and Pero were having quite a duel, which allowed me to keep up with them for a few laps. But then they started to pull away, helped by a few messy laps from me.

During the middle of the race I was all over the place, busy lapping on my own - one good lap and then one poor lap, again and again, including a couple of part-spins at Redgate. Dan was closing me down, which would have made for an exciting finish to an otherwise lonely race. But I ruined that prospect by hitting first gear at Mcleans, spinning out. Sad

Well done to Baracus and Pero for their great drives. Baracus - you are on form at the moment, which is rather ominous for the Alfa cup! Note to self: must drive faster. Smiley

Love this game pity about my driving. I couldn't get any where near my pb in quali and ended up in 8th. Had a great battle with Gizmo for a few laps then unfortunately made contact and he went off. Don't think it was anyones fault(make your own minds up it's in the vid). Spun then spun again, wot a mare. Even tho I finished towards the rear really enjoyed the race tho. Thouroughly enjoyed trawling the replay for incidents and hope i managed to get the majority of them in. Exceptional driving throughout and congrats Baracus,Pero and Minton for podium.

Top vid Ossie, laughed my ass off at some of the comments .... such as "there's giving way...", I'd pretty much had enough by then.

Fab video! Love the commentary! Its great to see what actually happened in the race you've just been in, and when its put together in such a well ordered way its just like (or quite a lot better than!) an ITV F1 highlights show..
Great work Ossie! Smiley
