Hope you had fun...was good fight up front until someone decides to weave 6 times across down the striaght to block me..really sh*t driving style....next time ur in the wall mister!!!
We do not put people in the wall, no matter what they've done. We report them to the moderators who stick their heads through walls. Of course not, was just really angry at game minimizing! Grats Pero...nice pace dude! I just wish Baracus took a Capri so we could really battle it out!!

ok, np Good race! Sorry about the tap...as soon as i alt-tab'ed back into the game it was too late! For my 1st race in ages i was surprised how GTR2 made me much smoother in GTL in applying steering and throttle (or maybe im just imagining it!?)

There isn't any problem with US versions and EU versions. Have you patched it to 1.1, did you have the skinpack installed etc.

A few tricky moments for me, but this was a great fun race!
Quali was OK - didn't get near my PB, but enough to grab 2nd on the grid.
The first few laps of the race went quite well - I was keeping track with Pero, and we were drawing away from the battle for third behind. A slighly eager application of throttle exiting the tight 'chicane' allowed Pero to grab a few seconds lead, but nothing too extreme.
Then, my wheel decided to interfere. I was using an old, non-FFB wheel as my normal one is bust, and this old wheel is prone to do random gearshifts. On accelerating out of T1 in second, about to hit third when the car downshifted (!) into first. Back wheels locked, and I spun. I didn't loose too much time getting turned around, but was down in 5th by this time about 6 or 7 seconds down.
A few ropey laps, then I relaxed again and started to closed down on the leaders. Radius' spin / disconn brought me fourth place, and I managed to close up on Dan and Mad-RIP in the battle for second place. We swapped places for a lap due to various errors, leaving Dan in second and me in third. Then, tearing down the straight I pulled out of Dan's slipstream to try a pass to find a slower car in front of me - oh bugga! Couldn't brake any harder, and the car was drifting to the right ready for the bend, so all I could do was try to squeeze between the two of them - cleared the backmarker, but couldn't avoid giving Dan a nudge and he slid into the gravel. Not fair for him to lose out because of my error, so I waited for him to rejoin.
For most of the rest of the race I was then closing Dan down again, but couldn't pass. Then a spin near the end (self inflicted) let him get away. Last few laps were steady, to avoid an ever-close Simon from grabbing 4th from me.
Pleased with the race, and pleased with getting to grips with the Capri. Can't wait for the next one - this is a fun ladder to race in!

I just wish Baracus took a Capri so we could really battle it out!!
Yes mate wish I did!!! That BMW got worse and worse as the race progressed. At first it seemed I could just about keep the temps down, but after about lap 15 I think there were only rims remaining on the left tyres!! Just couldnt control the temps without loosing masses of time in the long bends, which is what had to happen. Had some good battles along the way. Notably in a "Gymer Shark Capri" Sandwich (a delicasy round my way) for a good few laps. And towards the end holding off someone from gaining on my P9 position - the gap was coming down like 2 seconds a lap until it was 6 seconds and then they disappeared so dunno what happened there! In the end I wish my net connection hadn't been buggering around as I would have had time to test out the Capri, but having never driven it in anger before I thought I best stick to something I know, but I didnt think the tyres would be that bad! I must be driving quicker than last time I drove the BMW

That would have been me. Was on course to catch up with you with a lap or two left, until I spun off again.

Here is a quick vid of some of the action that took place in the race. As you will see from the vid I did not drive too well. Have always hated this track and this is the only full race I have completed on it and it showed. Cheers for the clean racing and keep this game alive its brill. Well done again to Pero Madd and Minton for podium. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I2BA04KW
