Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 490s

Baracus has had a spin and is just off the racing line almost facing backwards. Several cars get past safely and then Baracus attempts to rejoin and pulls onto the racing line.
Unfortunately Flybri is coming round the corner and cant avoid Baracus. There is contact and Flybri has a trip through the gravel.
Even though it was difficult for Baracus to see approaching cars it is still much wiser to reverse off the racing line first, rather than taking a risk and rejoining blindly.
Baracus then does the gentlemanly thing and slows up on the next straight to let Flybri through. Penalty reduced to 1 place.

Server replay time: 1950s

Minton outbrakes himself into T9 and is recovering from the gravel, driving alongside the track rejoining at a gradual angle. PaulW and Pedro are fast approaching and just as they pass Minton, with one wheel on the grass, he loses the back end and slides out into their path resulting in heavy contact which flips Minton over.
The rejoin looks completely accidental, the result of Minton losing control rather than deciding to join the track.
However, when driving on the grass on the edge of the track drivers should exercise care and expect the car to slide to one side when accelerating where grip levels are different at each wheel.

Thoroughly enjoyed the racing last night, and the track is not so bad too Smiley  Many battles along the way especially with Greg and Dave.

Started in 15th and managed to get up to 8th at one stage, But at one of the slow corners i got a tap from behind with left me facing the wrong way Huh.  Lost 2 places and my rythm as Dave managed to catch and pass me aswell. It then took me a few laps to get my rythm back, but by that staged Dave had a comfortable gap.

Cheers Mark

Congrats to ruskus Wink

Blimey - tough race!
I thought I had seen all the tracks GTR2 had to offer (original ones at least) but I had never seen Zuhai before.
Only had time to log on about 7pm so first I was trying to get to know the track and find a setup.
Found a nice drivable setup online but to my horror during open practice after about 10 laps the engine just died with no warning!

The temps were OK, but I thought I better go back to my usual 360 setup. Found this to be totally nasty to drive and didn't want to start making it more like the other one as that would end in disaster - so I went back to that 1st one and just turned the revs down / increased cooling to be safe. It worked :-)

Started to get to know the track OK but just had no confidence on the brakes. This was my achilees heel throught the race. Last 10 laps were getting better but it was too late.

It was me Greg that spun in that right hander, but as I say above I really wasnt braking at the right points early on, so no problem! Sorry to Flybri as I moved into your path trying to correct myself. I thought everyone had already passed me. Doh!

From last position now I started to fight back but kept making 1 mstake every few laps and losing all the gap I had made up!! This happened about 4 times until others started making mistakes infrom and I took a few positions by default.

At least I know the track for the GT's now!

Grats Ruskus!

I drove a consistent 100kmh. Listen to my engine during the formation lap, you won't hear revs increasing, only decreasing as I was driving in 6th to save fuel. I hope there is a way to prove.

Wasn't pointing any fingers Jeff. Wink  There was obviously alot of people behind you braking and speeding up , think everyone just needs to chill out on the pace lap...icluding myself!

No biggy now baracus, wasnt too pleased at time tho.....  Tongue Wink

Started 20th, ended up all but last after being knocked off early on, but raced at a reasonable and consistant pace, and due to ppl spinning, engine failures etc got up to 13th until with 2.30mins approx to go when i got a 'low fuel' warning, i thought i had 2 laps to go so drove accordingly, but amazed to see i had 1 lap (after those 2 laps) with 0.9L of fuel left (clock had run down to zero at that point Huh), had a 17sec lead over car behind and went into complete coasting mode, almost made it, Got as far as between 2nd last and last corner and conked out! Gutted.

Strange thing was, i didnt escape out straight away, wanted to see if cars behind passed, which they never did, and as far i was concerned i finished 13th but in the provisional results i am logged as 19th. Im sure i passed the RS guy's retired smoking car(who finished 18th) on the start of the lap (T1) i ran out of fuel. Anyone?

EDIT: Just checked Ruskus's lap chart and that has me down as 13th!

Yep appologies for the spin fella.  Just goes to show how one incident can have a knock on effect further down the field, if I hadnt spun you then you would not have had the incident with Bri.
