Season 38 – 1967 F1 PRIVATEERS – Round 5 – Parana
For the 5th round we are going to Argentina. Paraná is the capital of Entre Ríos province, to the north of Buenos Aires.
The Autódromo Ciudad de Paraná has a history going back to 1941, but was a dirt track with various layouts until asphalt was finally laid in 1969. The track has never hosted a championship F1 race, but has seen many national and international races for cars and bikes. Carlos Reutemann was a F2 champion here. It is a wide track allowing easy overtaking on long straights. There are tight corners too and it runs in an anti-clockwise direction.
