Moderator's Report

All drivers took the correct cars.
All Stop & Go's were complied with.

Server replay time: 0h02m50s

Lap 2, Dave Curtis clips the back of Billy's car on the approach to the hairpin.
Billy asked for any penalty to be waived.

Server replay time: 0h06m40s

On the approach to the bridge Paul is a little out of shape which allows Dave to close up - but not looking to make a pass. The server replay shows a warp contact between GPL crash boxes. Difficult to say if the cars would have touched, there was only 1mph difference in speed.

Season 38 MIXED OPEN WHEEL – Round 6 –  Brands Hatch

For this round, the MixOW entrants will drive the 1965cars at Brands Hatch, the part time home of the British Grand prix.

The Mixed Open Wheel series in which we will be using cars from 1965, 1966, 1967 (F2), 1968 and 1969. Drivers entering this series must select a manufacturer group and keep to that group for the whole season. Where more than one chassis is allocated to the group you can select any car. Pro / Works standard drivers cannot use Groups 7, 8 or 9.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Full Driver lists and divisional rules including manufacturer groups can be found here Championship Standings page

 Wink

Good morning all,

First of all a big thank you for those to whom I took 1 turn for their exemplary behavior and especially for
Dave C and Paul V who because of several errors on my part I generated several times while they were themselves in baguare.
Sorry again gentlemen.

Well done Raoni, Alien tonight as well as Imperial Tristan.
Superb race with Tom also in BRM, not advantageous on this circuit.
I arrive at the end of the race to go back to Tom, who lifts his foot well to make my task easier, thank you pilot. Smiley

Thank you to the organizers and see you soon on the track.

Thanks for another great evening at Brands. Sorry to see Axel drop out after a spin on T1. Not a good week for you in the Kent countryside. I had a great battle with Andreas for a few laps. How you guys are so fast in the Coopers I will never know. Grats to all finishers.

Hi all,

What a blast. Had some great laps with Dave C.

Absolutely no problems at all for me, other than a slight touch from DC early on which was my fault as I had run a little wide through the latter part of surtees,  deftly lifting the throttle didn't help as then my understeering Ferrari took it upon itself to try and swop ends. Luckily I gathered it all together again but had by then shut the door on Dave who was quite rightly taking advantage of my self induced moment of panic. Lol.

Dave being ever the gentleman apologies in post race chat, would have replied here sooner if it wasn't for being busy. No problems on my side mate. I probably should be saying sorry for shutting the door on you.

Also, Alain it was as always a pleasure to race with you. Nothing that happened to you impacted me in any way.

Biggest shame of the race was Cookies sad demise. Shame about that mate. Disco or accident ??

For Brands the connection seemed really good. I know the track has been improved immensely but it always was and still can be a Disco Disaster.

I had a great race and 4th time in 4 races no Disco..  made it to the finish and bettered my PB 4 TIMES

It was the same the race before - I had strange image dropouts whenever I braked hard.
But thanks to this race I found the cause:
the plug of the power supply of my G27 was not connected properly, I noticed it by a sizzling noise from the speakers.

My car was damaged so I quit...
