Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 417s

Thomas Mogensen (KG7) thumps Lincescom up the rear when he brakes far too late into turn 9, ending Lincescom's race in the gravel. He then almost does a dangerous rejoin before checking up at the last moment.

  • kg7 ([FO]KG-7)penalty — rear ending Lincescom — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 882s

Luke Mustoo has slipped up the inside of Behold in T1. As they run through the kink that is T3, Beholder is very close behind Luke, and as they run towards turn 4, the former is too close to Luke to see where to brake, and runs directly into the back of him.

Luke didn't fully commit to a defensive line, but Beholder could have forced him to by committing to an outside line with the aim of getting alongside, or getting a better run out of 4 and 5 and the inside line into 6 and 7. By remaining directly behind Luke he not only took away his ability to clearly see a braking marker, but also any contingency should Luke brake earlier than him.

Both cars were forced off the track, and whilst Beholder claims that he "let him pass when he caught up, a couple of laps later", it was actually nearly 11 minutes later, when Luke got past after Beholder was slowed up momentarily by a lapping car in turns 11 & 12.

  • John (Beholder)penalty — rear ending Luke Mustoo — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 1653s

Enzo Trede crosses the finish line in the pits and GTR2 fails to register the lap. The results have been corrected to show him finishing after 50 instead of 49 laps, although this does not change the finishing order.

Server replay time: 2649s

Steve T is following Locutos through a big pack of NGTs, and totally misses his braking point for turn 4, managing to collect both Martin Mason and Luke Mustoo in the process and also tagging Locutos.

  • Steve_Tpenalty — contact with multiple cars — 2 places lost

STUPID F*****G CONNECTION.  cursing censored gun_bandana hammer thumbdown censored censored censored censored censored censored censored

Really bloody annoyed about this now.  Got major fps coming up to the pit entrance on lap 4 - couldn't see what was happening until I was halfway down the pit lane entrance.  Time for an unscheduled stop then I thought ..... 7.3 secs (they didn't put any fuel in - which would probably mean me coming back for a 2nd stop).  Pretty lonely after that, got slowed down by the GT's as they came through, still getting the odd major fps hit (despite taking the detail etc down) and no doubt scared the crap out of a couple of them round the bends as I was jumping all over the place (sorry about that - I'm going to do some major investigation of what the hell is going on with my PC - don't think the FPS is connection related).  Carried on making time up to the back of the field, the GT's were starting to make their pit stops, and the leaders were coming round to lap me again when my connection was dropped.

Was driving pretty well, just had to hope my fuel load could last the distance as it's a reasonably short circuit and the leaders would have lapped the NGT's a number of times (still dubious about lasting the distance without another stop, 100 L in the M3 was meant to last 1:05 ...), but my race was already ruined by fps issues before the connection dissapeared.

That's well and truly spoilt my (and the Legends) championship aspirations....Not happy at all.

Anyone who thinks they lost a lap because of the finish line bug (even with the fix installed), file an incident report as normal - preferably with an indication of which lap you lost, which hopefully we can identify from the lap chart - and we'll look into it and give any missing laps back.

Wow. I don't know where to begin.

We decided for the Saleen only a couple of days ago,and that was probably not a good idea.  Undecided  I like the way it drives and sounds, but didn't know all the quirks it had until today.

I'm very sorry for driving like an a** Sad

I can't even begin to count how many NGTs I passed only to out-brake myself . Almost hitting some of them. At the end I got what I deserved after yet again out-braking myself I got bumped in the rear and spun 'round. Lost my 6th place there.

Found out in the end that it was my brakes overheating . Didn't have time to study my gtr pd before the end. Wish I'd known before.

Ossie: sorry for smashing into you, I thought you were going to stay still until we had passed, I kinda panicked and hit you in the back  Undecided

But I must say this:  The Saleen with the V8 sound pack installed . w00000t    thumbup2 clap rockon

I found the car I wanna drive now. My god, it's so damn addictive to hear that V8 rumble and scream. Bass on the subwoofer set to max and crank the volume up..YEAH  rockon

My heart is still pumping from all the adrenaline  w00t

Pretty good race for me; Picnic effectively let me by at the start after trying to start in the wrong gear; after that it was a matter of trying to stay in touch with the 911s ahead and out of the way of the GT boys of whom there seemed to be an awful lot! Managed to peg the gap back to Picnic at about 2-3 seconds until we started getting lapped; my softs were holding up well and I pitted at half distance for more, passing a few in the process but not gaining enough time to make any real impression on Luke Mustoo ahead, who I could almost match on pace but never stood any real chance of catching.

Darren gave me a real hard time for a few laps, getting alongside at one point but I wasn't having any of that. Ossie made a nuisance of himself in the Lambo, passing me then going off and then repeating until eventually I think he gave up in disgust. Tongue

Second in class (again!) is a really good result for my championship aspirations although I can't help but wonder if I'd have been so lucky without Adam's problems... Huh

This was a funny old race for me, filled the tank to the brim hoping to pass a few in the pit stops.
But was knocked off the track by a few GT's trying to pass through the corner's, trouble was my 911 was in the way! please pass on the straight you guys GT's have a lot more power than us NGT's Huh

Had a little tangle with Picnic toward the end of the race, which ended up in a big crash and my car going up in flames  Cheesy
No worries though I was just about to run out of the old jungle juice anyway.

Cheers for hosting and congrats to Luke & Locutos for the win

had to take avoiding action due to an ngt giving me room to pass then closing me down and ended up in in to a barrier, car needed work and an unscheduled stop took me to the back end of the grid.  Worked hard to get back to seventh and lost it on a bend, looked behind let a few cars pass got on to the track and fishtailed for a bit and saw the car in eighth approaching at speed and eased off to let him passed but he hit me square on in the rear.  Pushed hard  to gain time as I needed to pit again for fuel. Due to me needing to pit again and the gt in eighth was approaching me rapidly flashed and let him by.  Pitted again for fuel, damn car took an age to start. Lost loads of places again and ended up in the middle of ngt's.  Some gave me plenty of room others none, went wide on a corner and ended in the gravel and for some strange reason no damage but my wheel was 90 degrees out which caused me a few problems and started losing places to ngt's again.  Count down timer got to zero and finished my lap chequered flag appeared and i pulled off the track and hit escape. s**t DNF? What was that all about?
