Had a little bit of a play with all the cars in practice the only way i could get near the AI's was with the Chevy, this worked out well for the race as I managed to get away at the start. Geoff and Frex ended up faster than me at the end and with a few more laps would of caught up with me. Grats to those guys for the podium, not sure about this series i think once they get the updated tires and physics maybe.

thinking of getting one of these https://dofreality.com/#h3

 Shocked tt1

So, anyone else doing the RRE enduro on Weds?  Have tried the Radical AER & the Corvette GT2 & feel more comfortable around Mid-Ohio in the Corvette, it rides the kerbs better so will probably go with that.

Changed towards the chevy, but didn`t worked for me. The Radical AER i`m now flying with it, especially in close racing i`m now more confident in the car.

See you wednesday, but propably in bronse (maybe in silver if i do a couple of races tommorrow). Safety rating is not a problem, but the normal ranking.

Confirm, that the best strategy is to max fuel the car and at the end only pit for a splash and dash (no tire change)

Only my second race with pit stops.

Corvette will need a tyre change, neither softs or hards will last the distance. I am planning to use the soft tyres, I think they will just last until half distance & are around 1s a lap faster than the hard tyres, so even if the hard tyres did last the distance it would still be faster to use the softs & change. Be careful not to get a pit speeding penalty!

In the Raddical`s i can`t choose tire compound. But i think they will remain untill the end. either way at 70% in race i can still choose to switch tires. It doesn`t need much time, and you get tires also at the correct heat  Grin

currently in bronse (rating at 1555). At geoff in which server will you be, if you are in silver i can get there if i do 3 more ranked race`s. Getting always now top 4`s in the evening hours

Let me know if you get enough rating to do the silver & I will join that one too, otherwise I will probably race the gold one. Last week the gold & bronze servers were well populated but there were only a few in the silver one.

Looks like force feedback is finally getting an overhaul  Smiley

https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/may-2021-dev-notes.16906/

I've hated the ffb since December 2019 so maybe this will get me interested again.

Eh, maybe. Unless it turns into more like AC/ACC/iRacing, in which case count me out. Trying to do FFB based only on real physical forces doesn't work well unless you have a DD wheel in my experience. Also removing options for tuning the FFB doesn't sound useful to me.

Yep, just goes to show how ffb is such a personal thing and possibly dependant on hardware. I loved RRE before December 2019 but have struggled with it ever since.

I find AC quite enjoyable since I started using a LUT file for my DFGT and now a G25, was a bit hit and miss before then. I spend a lot of time in rF2 these days which feels great straight out of the box for me so I'm wondering/hoping if this RRE overhaul will be closer to that  Undecided We'll see.

Just arrived at home from work. So not able to race before hand to get in silver.

Had a great race, much better than Sunday  Grin

Joined bronse server A, in qualifing i had problems to find clear air. But with 5min on the clock i did a 1:19s and get P4.

30 cars at the grid (10 P2`s, and 20 GT2`s)

Clean start but at T2, P7/8 did a divebomb but just missed everyone luckily. After some struggling laps lost a place. P1 was pulling away, but from P2 there was a train of cars up to P7. After 15min i managed to get towards P2 and from then on i pulled away. Had 1 slip in the race, but managed the car in the right direction, so only lost 3sec.

After 30min i was surprised from the early pitstop from the race leader. So i took the lead  Smiley. Halfway other cars behind did also there pitstop, i was waiting if i should change the front tires or not.

After 50min the car with the early pitstop closed me, and with only 1/2sec on the relative i decided to stay away from a fight and did my pitstop with front tire change. (in the pits i had just time to do a tear off, first time endurance with VR goggles. So in 12sec off my VR and wipped off my sweat from my eyebrows  Tongue Grin ).

Joined the track in P2, what was my place.

After 1 hour surprisingly the race leader did a 2 stopper  eek , and i moved back towards the lead. With 17min remaining he was back at my tail defended a bit. But after wathing that P3 was also closing towards 6/7 sec. I decided to let him pas, after that i clould follow easily him and was 1.5 sec faster than normal (and 0.5sec faster than quali). So i pulled away from P3.

Result

1. A. Kra
2. B. Meysman        3.1s
3. D. Jarman                      30.2s

lapped P7 car.

was really close and clean racing. The GT cars where watching there mirrors all the time  clap clap . also 22 cars managed it towards the finish.

Kra was defenitly faster than me, but it was close due to the 2 stopper of him. I was more matching the pace from P3/4/5 but made only 1 mistake and was more consistent. I was also faster when we where lapping the GT cars.

really satisfied  Wink Grin
