(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally) (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. (5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface) Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I'm off the server now, thanks for letting me finish that test. Managed the full event plus a further 20 mins of practice without the game crashing. Fingers crossed for a completed race tonight therefore!

Yup, game just died again. Difference with opencomposite is it freezes rather than just quitting but that's no consolation. Really don't know what else to try. Everything else seems to run ok, I did a Steam File Verify, I've uninstalled and reinstalled ( including deleting anything I could find in MyDocuments ) and tried 3 different VR runtimes and old fashioned pancake mode on a monitor. It even ran a whole race event online this afternoon, I left the car parked on the track and didn't drive the whole time but it survived that ok. Only crashes when it knows it **** me off. Not sure I've got the strength to continue

SO, why do computers die after some time?
Heat? can't see it getting as hot with a screen as a VR headset
Memory leakage? but why this? no one else's hangs on to memory
Replay getting too big so it crashes?
Sounds like something is filling up, or getting as big as it is allowed to.
I've not done a full race with VR yet, I still drive like I'm taking my driving test it completely blows my sens of distance. My 13 year old core quad sounded like it was taking off, but ran without error.

Congratulations to all the drivers, but expecialy to geoff and passmore...great race, there was nothing to do against on this race. My race was a fight! I had an epic battle with frex For the fourth position, we changed position several times but allwais correctly without a touch! I never gave up, and i gained the 4th at the end. I'm sorry with frex for the spot we had but i lost a gear at the end of motodrom and i was almost still in the middle of a corner. Tnx to all

SO, why do computers die after some time?
It's a new computer, just 3 months old and it ran fine to start with. My concern about VR was driven from me meddling. I had my HP Reverb G1 using WMR running OK but I wanted to play an old Oculus store game so installed their software to. I don't recall how quickly after that RRE started to play up, is it significant or just my mind playing tricks? Heat? can't see it getting as hot with a screen as a VR headset
Memory leakage? but why this? no one else's hangs on to memory
Replay getting too big so it crashes?
Sounds like something is filling up, or getting as big as it is allowed to.
Considered all of those and was running HWMonitor in the background while racing last night. Can't remember the exact figures but the max temp of any core was around 45 degrees C and the GPU never got above 62. I have plenty of free drive space on all the drives in the machine and the game was claiming to use 1.5GB of my 32GB of RAM. I did discover this week that I had been running Windowed Fullscreen and this had been making the GFX card 100% busy. Changing to plain FullScreen reduces the load to mid 40% range. Obviously didn't help. I've not done a full race with VR yet, I still drive like I'm taking my driving test it completely blows my sens of distance. My 13 year old core quad sounded like it was taking off, but ran without error.
In theory the 3D aspect should help with depth perception I would have thought and I bet your PC is still quieter than my laptop when I play games on it
