Next week's event is an acid test for the Ladder if not UKGTL itself and if it fails the absolute best you can hope for is a two race a month series in some sort of championship form.

Sounds a very good compromise. I absolutely love this game, by far my favourite driving sim (until the Ferrari Simbin game coumes out that is Smiley  ), so would be very sad to see it go. Have had some great fun with you guys. You are all such good clean drivers, it really brings this game to life IMO!

Anyway, a massive thanks to Dave for all the time and effort you have put in to organising this and other UKGTL/R races. I really appreciate your efforts, and understand your feelings on not wanting to waste time with small turn-outs. I just hope it was that people were on holiday, not just that they have lost interest in classic motor racing Smiley

Let's get it on next week, all you hundreds of people reading this Cheesy  !!!

I do wonder if its the lack of variety that may be hampering turn out numbers  Huh As i mentioned in a GTR2 thread elsewhere, as we are mostly all motor sport enthusiasts, we all have our favourite cars we would like to drive and/or different circuits that bring out the nostalgia in our minds.

Not having a go at all, but some of the limited car choice options just dont inspire enough people to make the effort. Having only 2 cars to choose from is too limiting. If we have a TC65 race why not enable all the TC65's to be chosen, as an example. The more varied the grid the better. If we are going to straightjacket the car choice its not surprising numbers are dwindling, like next week for example, only minis and Jag's to choose from  Sad  I dont like either car, though i love the track (Brands), if it was elsewhere i would just think "n'ah pass thanks".
Maybe we should be doing polls to see what car/track combo people want to see in upcoming fixtures....Brands Gp is crying out for a 76 race for starters !

As I said in the other thread, that leads to no actual on-track action as the cars all vary so much in performance.

Please keep general UKGTL discussion in that thread. I'm going to close this one because I doubt there'll be any more discussion about this event in particular.
