Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 986s

Jan Duijs is braking for the Foggy Esses, with Leuven behind and slightly offset to the left. As Jan starts braking he moves slightly left and then right again, and Leuven is caught out and has to stand on the brakes, causing his car to move right slightly and tag the back of Jan, spinning Jan and putting both cars onto the grass.

The primary fault rest with Leuven who could have moved further to the left before the braking zone, but Jan's little move under braking is rather ill advised too and mitigates a penalty somewhat.

  • jan duijs (Jan Duijs)caution — moving in front of another car during braking
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • LEUVENpenalty — rear ending Jan Duijs — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 2010s

Perdy is approaching Bernie Lomax coming out of McLeans. He dives up the inside into Coppice and would've been safely through save that he snatched a front brake in his haste and understeered into Bernie, who had reached a point where he had to turn in.

It was a particularly regrettable place to outbrake a car being lapped as there is a much more convenient long straight immediately afterwards.

I think it's been mentioned elsewhere but we've split the weeks the Masters and Academy Endurance race runs due the disappearing car problems caused when the server compresses the replay. So yes, Masters this w/e and Academy the next. Sprints remain as before due to the smaller size of the replay files.

Did we define now if Academy can join Masters and vice-versa? If so, in what cars? G3 ?
Or any and do not score points?

Thanks Picnic and Dave. I missed the announcement as i was out of the country for a couple of weeks.

So was there a decision made on what people started talking about in the announcement? ie as TT says above.

I was hoping to get the first race of this year out of the way first to see if the full time reshuffle and a few new drivers would bolster grid numbers up a little first. We're not 100% keen on Academy drivers running in the Masters in G2 or G3 (or indeed scoring classes) in case they end up as mobile chicanes. If we end up with a fair number of spaces free in the Masters race then we will probably allow Masters into the Academy race in G2 or G3 cars and look again at what we do with the Masters race.

Ok. Just asked as I remember it was great in the begining when the server and race was totaly full. Better feeling than if 10 racers have a go.

BeRacing have postponed their GT race, which was due to start a couple of hours ago. I'll try again in a few minutes but if it's still down we'll have to postpone I'm afraid. Undecided

Does make you wonder why they force even Direct IP connections to use the lobby. Oh well that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I think it may be like Racemore.........If people slag them off then they can pull the plug whenever they want to and there'll be nothing we can do about it.
Having the online side always going through the lobby will mean if Simbin can't take the stick for messing up, then they can get their own back by stopping us using their game. Angry
