Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 363s

Truetom pulls out from behind Aagramn as they approach Melbourne and tries a move down the inside under braking. He does not get alongside before Aagramn's turn-in point, and even though Aagramn stayed wide Truetom cannot slow the car enough and understeers into the side of Aagramn's car resulting in contact.

  • Truetompenalty — over ambitious overtake — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 464s

Locutus is on the inside of Shark as they brake for the Melbourne hairpin. Locutus isn't committed and doesn't brake very late and never gets alongside. Shark takes the racing line through the hairpin and unfortunately Locutus, who cannot slow enough, plants his nose on the apex as Shark passes, resulting in light contact but it is enough to spin Shark around.

Server replay time: 1108s

Jimmie has a bit of a slide in the Fogarty Esses and loses some momentum for the run down to Melbourne and Truetom gets a run on him and goes for the inside line under braking.
Jimmie then turns in early and there is side contact with Truetom as they approach the corner.
It is not advisable to change line under braking when a car is alongside or challenging for position.

Server replay time: 1282s

Shark loses some momentum exiting McLeans and Mark Jonzo gets a run up the inside into Coppice. Shark stays on the outside and as they round the apex Mark slides out wide and there is contact resulting in Shark taking a trip across the grass.
Shark has requested that the incident is treated as unreported.

  • Mark J (Mark Jonzo)warning — leave room for manouver when alongside another car
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1338s

Shark is following Dan Minton down the s/f straight and as they slow for Redgate Shark cannot slow enough and lightly nudges the rear of Dan's car under braking. Dan continues without problem and Shark goes off. The outcome is that Shark lost time and places so penalty reduced to 0 places.

  • Simon Gymerpenalty — rear end contact — 0 places lost

Back to the TVR again. No idea how fast I can go compared to the M3 I drove on Sunday. Track should suit the TVR, but probably easier to throw into the kitty litter in comparison too with it's excitable handling.  Shocked

I think that was one of those races where you need to have the windows down and the elbows out.

The result doesn't show it but that was the best I've driven for *ages* Grin

I was almost 2s faster during the race than in the Endurance race on Sunday, unfortunately, like Sunday I managed to blow the engine, this time on the last lap Cheesy however it was getting an extreme amount of abuse while I tried to catch Flybri so I got what I deserved really  Hit with a wet fish

Thanks to Mo for the setup, it made a massive difference. You are a gent sir! euro

That race was tough from qually to finish Shocked.

In my first outlap I immediatly did my PB with the +50 Kg RSR, so I was happy with that. But as usual, CJ took my pole away from me Grin. With 5 minutes to go, I wanted to try 1 more time. And luckily for me, it was one of those laps where everything falls into place. Luck was on my side as I didn't make a single error and I could just get into the 1:29ers.

The beginning of the race was good for me, I could get a 2,5s lead in around 15 minutes. But after that the lead didn't get bigger, it slowly started to get smaller. With 15 minutes to go, CJ was 0,5s behind me, and I was stuggling. I was looking more in my mirrors than my front windscreen Cheesy. At one point he was faster on the straight and he got me at the chicane, but I could take a different line and aim at his inside at the 2nd part of the chicane and take 1st back.
With 10 minutes to go my fronts were shot to hell again. I really have to think about meds allround, as I can't get the softs to last upfront.
I was lucky I put some spare fuel in, as racepace was higher than expected.

Bad luck again Pops. After Vertislow, Vertimo, I guess it's more a Verti-Blow

I had a bit of a rush to get ready for the race, so it must have been why I couldn't find my pace.

It was extremely close in qually with so many drivers with times that would have been equal if the timing was only capable of tenths or even thousandths of a second.  Shocked

Had some big battles from the off and ended up having an off and losing the front of the car, damaging the suspension, steering etc.
So when I pitted I took new tyres and didn't bother with repairing anythin but the splitter as it would have put me 2 or 3 laps down at best.

I think I was pretty much last when I exited the pits, but gain about 6 places in the end due to other peoples attrition in one form or another.

Well done Ruskus..... again..... and CJ too..podiums . Wink
