Third race in a row at Brands - second in the Minis and not one win Cheesy
The out lap was a mess - two guys missed that we had a rolling start and when they finnally realised they both droped speed, but the bloke that got ahead of me on the out lap didnt get back to his proper position before the start and started from my qually position. I flasshed my lights... for him to realise it, but I guess he reckoned he was the one that should start from P3  Roll Eyes
Anyhow - good fun for the first few laps and after getting to P2 I messed one corner I was in for a lonely race as Baracus was just flying.
Only things happening were meeting a lagging Jag into which I crashed about three times because of the lag (car stopped middle of the line right when I was passing there). Nobody's fault except the developers of the game I reckon.
Great win Baracus - quite a lead  Cool
Hopefully next race we finnaly start with some real men cars again and not these toys for boys laugh

That was me ahead Pero, I got a touch confused at the start as it was all a bit mucked up and assumed I was 3rd as pole is on the right IRL at Brands.

Great race, guys. Brands Indy does make me dizzy though!

Quali saw a new PB, but not quite enough to grab pole from Baracus.

On the grid, lights go green and I'm off. Two-thirds of a lap later, with a prompt on chat to remind me, I remember its a rolling start - oh bugger! Back off and back to P2 behind Baracus.  angel

Rolling start was OK, we took off on the line and I was right behind BA, he maybe missed the shift into second because the he appeared to slow, I backed off and the P3 chap got in to the lead.

BA tried a pass for the lead at Druids, but ran wide letting me back into P2.

I was then close behind the leader, first time behind him into Paddock, looking for my braking point when he hit the brakes hard. This certainly wasn't deliberate, but I did not expect the leader to have such different speed  around Paddock. I braked but couldn't avoid hitting him from behind sending us both off. I rejoined in about 10th place, but he dropped out - sorry for the accident, but there was not much I could do. Sad

Then it was a case of trying to get back to a decent position. I had some great battles with various racers, Radius and MadRIP in particular. I ran wide at Paddock once after putting a rear wheel on the grass, but otherwise kept it on the black stuff.

On the penultimate lap I managed to squeeze inside (oo-er missus) Assassino at Clearways (?) and grab my first UKGTL podium - yay!

Well done Baracus for a good win.

Someone asked about other tracks that are good - try Kyalami, its similar to Brands GP and is good fun.

No worries about that tap Stu, I used an old race set by mistake that had the short gearbox set in it, so was down on top speed. Shame think I could still have got a top five with it maybe. Smiley

Till next time. Smiley

Tried to make this, and was actually around, and able to use an Internet connection - even got around to installing the 1.3 skinpack properly...

...But then a friend invited himself around Sad He has some life issues, and I couldn't really turn him around at the door, or force him to watch me drive around Brands Indy!

I'll be back though!

Congrats Baracus Wink great win.
Just 2 examples: Today when i was fighting for position with Bill, he spun, he enter the pits,
exit pits with a lap down, but didnt quit thumbup2
2 weeks ago, in a GTR2 race at SPA, i spun and hit the left wall at EAU ROUGE, so i did
a 7,5 Km lap with a left puncture, i went to pits, back to track in last position, but i didnt
quit
 no
Sorry for my English if something not sounds good whistling

See you next race

CHEERS

That's my way too.  I had a stop and go for cutting corners, moving off line to allow overtaking and then losing line into T1 and cutting corner twice.  Last finisher.

Similar to you, whilst racing a G2 car, at Enna in a mixed field, I got hit from behind at the standing start and clobbered by 2 or 3 cars.  Result a puncture and a full lap to pits.  Rejoined 1 lap down drove the race of my life came 8th out of 20 odd starters and top G2.  Some drivers lost it as the tyres wore and either quit or wrecked their cars.  Once I settled I really enjoyed my race, for me that's what it's all about.

If you use 'LABELS' just for the start you can see where everyone should be. Saves confusion.

Thanks for your nice comments guys Cheesy

Yeah at the start I was a bit confused by trying to get the formation lap back under control and started in 2nd gear which I thought was bogged down too much so I made the mistake of changing to 1st, which instantly red-lined - so had to quickly change back but loss of momentum let No25 and Stu by.

I can't explain where my pace came from, as I thought I didnt get on with Mini's - but I got a great line through Paddock one time, which must have accounted for my pole lap - then in the race I was just trying to keep clean lines and concentration up.

Perhaps I can only drive girls cars - we will see next week I guess!!

PR : Is that the unluckiest tunnel in the World, or what! If I ever go on a driving holiday, I will certainly make sure I go nowhere near that death trap!! Ummm, where is it again Smiley

I usually do Tom, but I was fafing about AFK during the countdown and as I drive one handed couldn't tickle my tab button after that. Smiley
