Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Only did some leaderboard runs so was with optimal tyres grip etc but it felt really good, loads of grip. Will see tonight how little grip there is on the server in comparison!

The lack of visiblity isnt an issue for me as i find with many cars i'm having to gauge the distance without seeing it. The main issue will be visiblity to other cars....Will check to see if you can change the virtual mirror.

Bill, presuming you are using cockpit view, I found it was better to move the view back so that I could see out the side of the car a little. Gave a better idea of where the kerbs were, still not brilliant visibility though.

After getting used to the visibility problem I found these quite enjoyable to drive although getting the line right on some corners so as to get a good drive out of the corner was quite tricky.

John outpaced me in qually but I got a better start to grab the lead. Early laps, there was little between us & I got the impression that I was holding John up at times, however by around half distance I started to pull away & opened up nearly a 3s lead. Then I made a couple of mistakes on the same lap & John was right with me again & when I got too much kerb at Druids & the car got out of shape John was past. I thought any chance of a win was gone & even when I caught up I did not think there was any chance of finding a way past. Fate smiled on me though when I got close on the run up to Druids, John defended the inside line & braked a little too late & I was able to cut back on the inside & take the lead back. Remained close over the final few laps & I was just able to keep it all together & take the win.  Grin

Congrats to John & Frex on the podium.  clap clap

what an epic race! got my new rig from DOR reality and new pedals, this was the first race to try the lot out. Managed to get pole by a squeak from Geoff but this was the first standing start for me with the new set up and I wasn't quite sure where the clutch bit point was so bit of a poor start. I did manage to keep on Geoff tail with some very close racing not many places to pass when your both flat out at brands. Geoff did make a mistake coming out of druids but i soon realized that I didn't have enough fuel for the end of the race and had to back off on the engine mode, this gave Geoff the opportunity to get up the inside of me going into druids , I out braked myself and he was through!! great racing with you dude certainly enjoyed that one a lot Smiley

grats to all

I really enjoyed that one. These are not hard to drive, but require some control to go really fast
Even I can drive them at something like racing speed. I had some fun with a few people, and eventually
I messed somewhere and had to follow to the end.

The visibilty is not an issue for me, though I realise it may be for some others.
Try to move the view back or forwards to get a better view, or run using bonnet (hood?) view

Not really sure what happened on the first lap, seemed to just understeer off at Surtees, onto the back straight, hit the wall and picked up damage.

Can you re-position the HUD? I was spending more time staring at the 1/3 of it you can see so much i wasn't really looking where i was going, especially when i overtook Matt for the first time and then fell off.

You can reposition and change the scale of the HUD in RRE. if you look in the setup page where you map all your buttons you will find them.
