I see your point Jonny.
And actually I had no intention to suggest using the 67x mod. Also I did not try to make a point about realism.
My point was just about my personal experience from this season in the long Grand Prix series about the full throttle tracks. I did not enjoy them too much. I clearly understand why it is fun to race these tracks in other mods as it equals skill differences a bit. I did not really experience this kind of equalization with these tracks with the original 67 mod (except for the fact that works drivers used slower cars). So from my view these tracks were a bit boring to race. But that is just my personal opinion that I wanted to share, and I wanted to know all your opinions as well.
It might also be the case that these tracks were somewhat boring because in the long Grand Prix series we usually only had around 10 cars at the grid. Maybe with more starters these tracks provide better racing as well.  scooter

Yes Markus I understand! Smiley  Another mod that I really like about the vacuum reaction is the modThundercar , I think it is well balanced and is an excellent mod for oval racing . But it usually attracts few riders.
A good advantage of the UKGPL league is the possibility to use a lot of mods, unfortunately I can't race with you guys in the middle of the week.

Slipstream - I remember the 1960's where F1's at fast tracks such as Monza, would often form groups of cars which stayed together.  The slipstream helped enough, to make a slower car fast enough for more excitement.  A small effect was enough.  A bigger effect came from GT cars, as they had a bigger frontal area, which moved more air sideways.  The Mulsanne at Le mans was famous for this. Cool

A large jet plane moves enough air, they wait 2 minutes between each takeoff, to avoid dangerous turbulence.  Size and speed.  Wind tunnel testing in the 1970's, showed how slipstream and drag could be reduced.  Much less now than then.
