Championship standings HERE

TRACK #6

Grid/server capacity: 22

Track: Laguna Seca ('64 to '67)

Cars allowed: Chevrolet Impala

PM WT for track/car download pack

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race: 20:30 (38 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not Required

Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Don't be caught out by the green light. The light's seem to go red, red, red, red, green, bright green. Suggest drivers use start countdown to avoid jumping the start. Cuts will be off for this race.

Hi guys!

It's time to back to races!  wheelchair

I have mounted my steering wheel after 5 years.  Grin
Since my daughter was born, it has been more than 5 years since I had to give up racing because I had no time for practically anything.
Now that she's 5 years old and does'nt need so much attention, I think I will be able to run a race ocasionally.
I hope to see familiar faces and new faces, why not?

Hopefully all you guys are well!

What about your times in this track? Yesterday I did about 10 laps. My time 1:25 i think.

Cheers!

ps: sorry for my english

Welcome back Jose - long time no see; glad to find you alive and kicking  Smiley

Just did some praccy, with a not easily repeatable 1:17.196 being my best.  Get a mismatch message online though, so wonder if I have the right version of the track.

My best is a 1:20.9 but I'm usually hopeless in these old American brutes.

Last night I was able to do a lot of laps on the server trying to get a good set-up without much success, but my time has down a lot. 1.17.5.

Although I don't feel comfortable with this beast.

Hey Jose, nice to see a familiar name return Smiley

Turned a few laps, what a terrible car this is to drive around here, yank tanks were never ever my thing and I always avoided the Muscle Car League on Gamers Crib for that very reason....

Best so far of 1.16.8, but there's every chance of spearing off into the boondocks at that pace for me!

Good to see you back Jose.  thumbup2

It certainly is one horrible car. Of all the ones we have used in the muscle car series here, this is probably the most difficult to drive, you certainly are a sadist Tony!  Grin

Anyway I won't be suffering the horrors of driving this thing tonight, will be watching the football. I know I must be mad.

I'm recording the footy. That way I can still race and fast forward through all the pre match and half time b censored s.

I find it good fun, in all its madness.  Opinion may change when tyres are 30+ laps old...

Hope I can stream the footy later - and sorry, not rooting for England  Grin

The ball is the wrong shape, and the players fall over at the merest whiff, so my interest can be described as minimal at best.... Wink

Sorry, but +1

My brother has always flagged the Dannebrog in these days to provoke the neighbors  Grin

I personally am not at all into soccer. I prefer NBA basketball (the Finals at the moment) watching the short game summaries each day  Cool
